Yeah...that's what my thoughts were... the dash is throwing me, never seen one like it. Equipped with a '66 Pontiac 389, Casale in/out.my guess, earlier Rayson Craft
Yup... finally ID'ed the boat... 1965 18' Rayson Craft... G hull, also called 'tournament skier and marathon' depending on set up. RC made these hulls fromRayson craft for sure. Here’s a 65 that’s someone has up for sale.

about '61 to '65... the one I have is in awesome condition and will be heading for the lake very soon. 1966 Pontiac 389, #48 big valve heads, 1969 4 bbl intake, Holley 650 DP, cam, Nicson, Cal marine doo-dads, Casale F-N-R top loader, nicely built, well equipped boat. On a different note... I just found another mid 1960's flat bottom V-drive,
.... but I'm old and can't do this stuff like I used to... BUT, this boat was said to be an old Firebird lake race boat called 'Blue Thunder'. The thing that grabbed me is the engine, late 1950's 392 hemi, Offy high rise intake w/ dual quads... turns over by hand, its complete. Boat looks like an old Sanger... but I can't be sure yet. I'll have some
pictures today... my question to you is... is the boat worth the effort, time, and $$ to bring it back to life? It's been sitting since 1985. Thanks in advance... Walter (some pics of my boat stuff... work in progress)
This is your boat now? More info needed.1972 bismar 392 hemi Blue thunder came across your post and it sure sounds like the boat that I just acquired
Yes this is my boat now, I know there's quite a bit of history on it. Going to restore it back to its Glory daysThis is your boat now? More info needed.
