Glenn is a left leaning free speech advocate who gives a great little summary here in regards to what's going on with Twitter.

He was the reporter that Snowden trusted and is one of the most honest left.

No one thought My Space would disappear, or Snap Chat. If it’s not trendy and the kids aren’t using it, it will die and there’s nothing he can do to stop it. I never used Twitter and never will, nothing to do with Musk or anyone else, I don’t use Tic Toc either. 🤷🏼‍♂️ I just don’t get it and I don’t feel like putting in the effort to get it. I think it was a horrible investment for him.
When you have FU Money you can do shit like Elon is doing just to screw with the Communists. I seriously doubt he bought Twitter with the intent to make money.

Prices Law, the square root of the total number of employees do 50% of the work. Time to trim the fat!

Rumor is that Elon will use this nonsense about Apple not carrying the Twitter App to roll out the Tesla PII Phone and put Apple out of business. They don’t have Satellite Phone Technology or the Infrastructure to run it. Guess who does? LMAO 🤣
Great post. Just like, everybody thinks he's building cars........ In this day and age it's all about the long game subscription fees, with vehicles it's the fuel that costs you, not the car. He's not building cars, he's building gas stations and everybody that owns a Tesla will still be on that teet when he starts really cashing on his network of chargers.

ARR is the metric of the day, and your valuation is determined by it. I work for the largest tech company in the UK, its really a collection of industrial software brands acquired over 50 years. Some of them have always sold on subscription, many on perpetual (you own it), and try and sell maintenance with it. The brand I came from was the first ever subscription based software. The pain experienced by the other brands to convert its install base over to these agreements is challenging, but its really the only thing the markets care about.

Its not anything new either, think of Howard Hughes and Tool Co. He wouldn't sell you a drill bit, he would lease you one. If anything went wrong, a replacement would show up quickly and you would minimize downtime. A brilliant idea back then. Even take Nascar engine suppliers, a customer team never owned the engine, they got to lease the use of engines for 125k a race per car or whatever it was back when I heard it. The stability of front end forecasted revenue is super attractive to investors, and every C level exec is racing to switch over their business model as fast as possible. The shit BMW is pulling with leasing their heated seat features and shit does crack me up, a step too far maybe.

This hysteria is over NOTHING. it’s not like anything has even happened. Where’s examples of the horror they speak of. How can you get so fired up over “what if’s”? The left is so fucking Pathetic.

They're all freaking out now because Musk can speak his mind, and nobody can censor him.... on Twitter at least.

I may or may not have recieved indirect confirmation that celluar capabilities are a MAJOR factor in the next starlink satellites being designed currently and cell tech has been incorporated into the current generation satellites. And when I said "It's almost like Elon has been planning on developing a phone for a while." I received a slight wink. Read into that as you may.

This would be gold. I hope Elon has the balls to stay the course and out of China's grip. He's into them already, I hope he gets out.

I had a Twitter account in the past. It was only to follow conversations. I opened a new account the other day because it's quite entertaining to watch what's happening.

So much for the free speech pitch.
Yea. I get on the one hand what Kanye is spouting off is not good. But I assumed he was going to kind of just let everyone have at it with little regulation.

EXAAAAAAACTLY!!

Oh, you mean like exactly how Jack Dorsey was running it?! Ohhhhhhh, that’s different.

Let me
Rephrase for Elizabeth Warren - “I think one human being (that’s not doing our bidding) should not have the right to decide how millions of people communicate with each other.”

Fuckin stupid bitch.
Yup.
She had no problem with Nina Jankowicz doing it as Biden’s proposed “disinformation czar”

James Baker working there and filtering the files before release does not surprise me. I also don't believe Elon Musk didn't know he was on staff.

He’s in the crosshairs. It used to be that this was a “progressive” idea.

Kinda odd that he did that there, but doesn't have them in SpaceX and actually took away most of the golf carts there since regular employees were using them to go talk to someone instead of calling them when they were in another building.

great way to shed another big percentage of employees....Just have to have the HQ far from Austin..lol
I predict it will come to Austin. There's another large building going up near the Tesla facility. I know he's got a lot of land there so I assume it's him, for what I don't know but it's not like he couldn't absorb an internet company somewhere.

Its ironic that some of the people that want Twitter to fail are also complaining about losing their job there.
