Super Bowl Sunday. Riverside’s finest. Know a few players from that story. Russ Leach rented a house I built. Let’s just say my customers from Compton were happy when he moved.

He has a drinking problem because of the job no jail time and will be sent to rehab and will not lose his job will be resigned to work inside the office. That's my guess
Doubt it. Sounds like he had a take home car and abandoned it. If it was a member of their SWAT team, you can only imagine what was in that vehicle that he walked away from. I've seen this same scenario from another one of their SWAT guys in the past. I knew him through mutual friends. He was fired and gone in short time.

I met a couple off duty sheriff swat guys at a bar a month ago in Old Town Newhall, I wonder if it was one of them.

It gets hard to fire someone when they use the words "I have a problem and I need help", seriously those are the key words to keeping your job.

I won’t mention any names but have a buddies dad who works for sb county as a cop and has had 3 dui he works at the court house now but has kept his job everytime
I think I know the guy too! Hahahaha! He really does have a problem, and knows how to keep from losing his job. If it's who I think it is, he's been promoted and demoted several times, transferred to different locations, etc. But still manages to keep his job!

Alcoholism is considered a disease and you can't fire someone because of a disease, that's why you say "I have a problem and I need help". I know a guy that has used that line 5 times, 3 times with the same employer.

San Diego has a “last chance agreement.” You get popped once, you sign a legal document (last chance agreement), go to rehab and you get a second chance. If you get popped again, you’re gone. However, the unions do their best to keep these folks on. Never understood it…they are a liability!
