About the same time as this, a kid in the La Puente area offed his father. His father had sexually abused him, as well as his sister. There must have been more "proof" to back up his claims. A kid from a not so affluent area was able to avoid jail time, but the two rich kids from Beverly Hills are still locked up. There must be mountains of evidence to pile through...

Good thing crime is down throughout the LA area, Gascon's office must have lots of time to work on this stuff.

Vin has been here a couple of times...keep those POS locked up for they killed their parents in cold blood...like shotgun to their heads...
Went out to the car for more rounds and went back in. Because what they had in the shotguns were not enough, FVCK them, they have been in prison, but living in the spotlight their whole lives.

Yep. Blood on the bottom of the moms shoes as she was trying to get away as they went out to retrieve more shells.

Just think about this for a minute. They pulled the trigger on a shotgun and blasted both their parents, a couple times each.

Maybe, just maybe, if the sexual assault was happening at that time, I would be okay with it. But it wasn’t and I’m skeptical that it ever did. After the double murder the two boys tried to cover their tracks and then went on a shopping spree with the parents money. Fuck them, they should have gotten the death penalty at sentencing.

Life without the possibility of parole……well…maybe. Nothing, absolutely nothing holds value anymore.

They’re trying to rewrite history here. Per Gascón “they've served their debt to society”. Ok fuckface, tell that to the victims themselves. Granted there may have been some extenuating circumstances in this case, but this was first degree murder.

Good to know that taking someone’s life doesn’t result in you losing yours to prison forever. Apparently it’s just a speed bump in the road.

… Neighbor girl has been watching some sort of a recent documentary on the Menendez Brothers… And that a minimum of one of them was Allegedly sexually abused by the father… Can’t remember what else Neighbor girl told me… Had these two brothers been mentally and physically tortured to the point of taking the lives of their parents🤷🏽‍♀️… Would like to see the documentary…

They were adults and out of school, why didn’t they leave the house to get out? Because they’d have to get jobs - they enjoyed living a privileged life. Then they went on a spending spree right afterwards. It’s premeditated murder any way you slice it up.

I feel the same way then I have a small bit of "what the fuck would they do?" they don't have anything or anyway to get out from under the "family".

Why they didn't or couldn't go to "the authority," I don't know. As you said, first degree murder, is first degree murder.

Actions have consequences.

^^^^^ "Monsters (2024)" is a scripted "movie". There is a new documentary called "Menendez Brothers: Victims or Villians (2024)" on Netflix.
Also "
Menendez + Menudo: Boys Betrayed (2023)".

There are a ton of older stuff also.

You guys do realize that the motion is to change their sentence from life without to 50-life…right? At least that’s my understanding?
That would effectively make them eligible for parole.
It isn’t about overturning any convictions.
I’m not defending them, I’m saying that with the extenuating circumstances the lesser sentence was likely more in line with justice all those years ago.
Don’t forget, it took 2 trials and suppression of abuse testimony to convict them of M1. First trial was a hung jury, if memory serves. I haven’t watched any of the videos or movies. I just remember it all.
Again, I’m not defending them, just saying that 50-life was probably always more appropriate legally speaking.
Yeah, Gascon is a POS, but that’s beside the point.

This forum routinely calls for the murder of sexual predators (unless it’s a female or expatriate) why would this be any different? Because they were 18 and 21 at the time? Do you think that the abuse, if true, started at that age?
Personally I don’t care what happens to them, it’s a political pawn game anyway.

The way I understand it is, they want to resentence them from, "life without parole" to "life with parole" and they will be eligible for release immediately with time served.
