I'm sick of buying a pile of the WalMart super cheap camp chairs and am looking for something that will make it way more than half a Season's worth of sandbar action. Kicker is, I'm a cheap bastard and want a heavy duty folding chair for the cheapest price available. I figure this is the time of the year to get it done.

Looking for all input, but if you are going to recommend some bougie type shit just please keep it to yourself. Need a chair that I can put in the ski locker, pull it out and use it, rinse the legs off and put it back in the locker. Rinse and repeat and it keeps my ass off the sand.

Following. I pitched two folding no-name chairs that broke while at Mohave. I left them in the dumpster on the last day. Still need to replace them but Costco is out at the moment of the Tommy Bahama chairs that seem to be decent for the price.

I can appreciate the deal but I’m 6’4” and there is no way I’m getting outta that chair…any sort of gracefully.

We need chairs built for men here and not for the beaches of Saint-Tropez.😜

We’ve got two of each chair listed so far. All at least 6yrs old. low Tommy Bahamas for the beach, chair with the arm rest and side table for campfire and lunch and the big fluffy one for those cold nights around the fire when there’s a breeze you stay nice and warm.

I guess my point is you can never have to many options.

The timber ridge chairs are great and are robust. They also make the zero gravity ones that are nice as well.

I buy a lot of stuff from Uline. They have free offers depending on how much you spend. I have got a lot of these chairs. I’m not a small person and these chairs are great. I have not broke any yet. We have been through plenty of the Walmart shit in the past. I think you can buy the chairs by themselves.

Not sure at what dollar amount 'Bougie' kicks in . . . but I bought one from a company called 'Strongback' when I hurt my back.
Really comfortable, and the support for the lower back is 100% legit.
They make a bunch of different models.
I got one that sits low to the ground . . . but they make more standard height chairs as well.
It wasn't 'cheap', but it wasn't 'Yeti-Level' either.

They run some pretty decent discount sales occasionally if you have the time to wait.
Decent warranty too.

These have been the best for our family through the decades of day beachin'. They arent the smallest when folded up, but they are light and tough. When the webbing fails or frays, you can just re-web it.\

OME director chair. Pricey but quality. We had a bunch at the Overland Expo and they’re legit.

This and a mike drop.

Seriously. they are not cheap but they are hands down the winner. Truly the definition of getting everything you paid for.
They age incredibly well and after sitting in one you climb back into the cheap stuff and are saying "WTF? where's my real chair?"

I bought something similar to this XXL Directors Chair for camping and lake trips, but it won't fold into a well locker for sure...

On the other hand it's rated for 500LBS and is fought after every time it comes out...the kids love sitting in it together (yes it's big guy wide) and the weak ass little table can hold a large drink at the end of a long day on the water!

I'd spend more on a better padded one next time, this one is sturdy as hell...but is basically padless. It gets a little uncomfortable if you do more than a few hours at a time in it.

Got it on sale at Wallyworld last time I was on a rushed trip on sale for like $40...it's done me well and is tough as shit.

I’ve had 2 of those Tommy bahama ones on the boat for 7 or 8 years. We use them a lot. Their aluminum and fit under the engine hatch. No complaints..

This chairs fit big guys and are as tough as nails. I've bought 6 of them, and never broken one. 2 are about ready for the dumpster finally from being left out in the sun, they've been with us for 6 years!

These chairs are heavy duty, comfortable, but almost TOO BIG
Forget trying to fold them up and put them back in the bag. I have 2 of these, still like them but man they are massive to transport.

Am I the only cheap bastard on RDP? I live off the cheap Walmart chairs....I have 4 in my trailer, 4 in my garage, 4 in the trunk of the wifes car....I use them until they break then toss it and buy a new one....if I lose one or leave one somewhere, its no big deal, just buy another one...

I splurge a bit and go with the $12 chairs, not the $8 ones....lol

Smart move.

The rest of this place seems to be in a pissing contest over who can spend the most for a camping chair for their fat asses while denouncing those that spend money on a MegaRaptor for their small penises.

Weird place we find ourselves in.

We got a pair of CGI Outdoor director chairs. Had them at least 15 years. Take them everywhere. Fold up nice but not the lightest chair, but super comfortable. Ours don’t have the side table. I hate the sling type chairs on my back, you feel like you are in a chair that the bottom broke out.
