I need a definitive answer on how much my F150 can tow?

I’m comfortable with a lot of shit.😜🤣 I could tow a boat with a Yugo if I had to, I’m more concerned about being legal.
Since when are you concerned with following the rules?

If it's 2 wheel drive, you most likely will have the most issues trying to retrieve the boat. Launching can be fun too. I had a 25 Daytona and when I had a 2 wheel drive Ram the boat would take me for a ride down the launch ramp when backing it in. Brakes did nothing until the boat hi the water. Good luck! I wouldn't do it.
4WD is a nice to have feature but it’s very ramp dependent whether you need it or not. Obviously the bigger the boat the more likely the weight will need more traction to retrieve it, but even though we have 4WD on our vehicles we rarely need it at the ramps we use with that boat. Granted we run AT tires which might get more grip.

I don’t think 4WD would help if the ramp is so slick the slide doesn’t stop until the boat hits the water? Maybe better tires? Which ramp does that happen at?

My buddy use tow his 25’ Daytona with a S-10, 4.3. He would go 100easy miles to the lake, never had a problem.😎

And that's a GM so of course it can handle that. Remember the question is about Fords... should be asking what kind of tow service will tow your truck along with boat to the river and will they launch the boat as well.

Funny thing is when I got our 25 Daytona we had an Expedition, towing, launching, retrieving no issues at all. Momma wanted a suburban, so we got a suburban and first couple times we launched with it we had trouble retrieving. I ended up having to provide a little extra forward momentum with the prop to get it out. After the small lift and new tires it wasn't an issue, but after spending that kind of money on a new tow vehicle it was pretty upsetting to have the issue.
My F150 didn't have any issues either...

I towed pretty heavy with our F150 a few times out to Ocotillo, it wasn't the most comfortable, but it wasn't white knuckled. Switching it up to an F350 sure made all the difference. It was overkill, but it sure made it more comfortable, and legal...

McIntyre Park, Riviera, and a couple lakes here in San Diego. I got a bigger truck pretty quick.

4 wheel drive must make a big difference though because I remember having the Site 6 group yelling at me that I wouldn't be able to pull my boat out with the Navigator I had at the time...I threw it in 4X4 and had no issues with the stock pizza cutter tires.

He had this crowd going for a while back in the day with the Gay jet boat owner from the midwest.... I think RD even stuck up for "the new gay member" before they figured it out.

510 area code on the door kind of gives it away, no?
