Daughter manages the ER. she’s been trying for a while to address deficiencies. Most of which stem from lack of resources and like many other industries out there, lack of employment pool.

But they’re finally fully staffed for the first time in 10 years. She’s working her butt off. Her mom and I are very proud of her.

Whole medical industry in general is just a cluster fuck right now but she genuinely cares and is trying hard to make that hospital better.

My dad had many stays there and i never had an issue with the staff or the care.

He had a full blown open heart CABG and the care was very good.

I’ve never been but I know there’s plenty of people with horror stories. Just on here there’s a bunch. It’s still a “rural” hospital. They usually life flight most major trauma and issues to Vegas or Phoenix. Health care in havasu is limited, it’s no secret. She’s doing the best with what she has though. Some great people working there. They’re making it better.

I was just in the ER about a week and a half ago when I broke my hand, the staff was phenomenal, timing was great, very efficient. I was actually extremely impressed.

I have long held a lot of animosity towards HRMC from years ago with the death of my step dad.

My experience with my hand lightened that animosity quite a bit… I hope they continue on the right path.

That's great!

Why in the hell doesn't the Hospital have a pharmacy that is open for emergencies or Sundays after 7pm?
No pharmacy is available after 7pm on a Sunday in Lake Havasu, as per the emergency room.

I'm lucky to always carry Hydrocodone for an emergency.

Good to hear I have a friend having that procedure there next month.

Big thanks to your daughter. We’ve had a few occasions to go to the HRMC ER. Fortunately, our experiences have been good. I was not aware of the lack of any pharmacy in LHC on Sunday evenings. That’s good to know.
