WELCOME TO RIVER DAVES PLACE

I have really missed using my Blackstone over the last 2-3 years...

When I was traveling all over I kept taking things out of the 5th wheel to continue to downsize. One thing left behind was my Blackstone.

I have been using it again for breakfast out here in Texas and man......the food coming off it is outstanding. This AM cooked up some thick Maple Bacon, cleared some of the grease off and cooked two cut up large russet potatoes in the remaining bacon grease.

Fried some eggs on the stove in the egg pan over medium and just put them over the potatoes on the plate.

Made some excellent pancakes last week that had a lot of flavor picked up from the Applewood Bacon used that time.

All I can say is that hearty breakfast went down awesome and the clean up is easy as well.

Now if I could only get the Jack Daniel steaks to come out like Lunatic Fringe @Lunatic Fringe all would be good. I have never been able to get that down. May have got it done one time but got tired of screwing up my steaks. LF and I go back and forth talkin shit about our BS, BBQ at times. Friendly banter stuff but I have to give it to him on the JD steaks.....he has that down.

Anyhow....carry on and enjoy that Sunday breakfast.....shit, have that second cup of coffee, beer, mimosa or whatever while you are at it :)

I bought a Blackstone while on vacation in Tennessee last year. One that I could carry around in my 5th wheel. I haven't used my barbecue since. Never regretted buying it for even a minute. Best cooking thing I ever bought.

Hopefully @Lunatic Fringe will come on and share his tips on making them.

Basically steaks with JD and fire. Lol
Jack Daniels 👍

Oddly enough we were just talking about cooking filets at the fire.

Blackstone on left with fold up flat table goes in the motorhome when traveling. Kind of miss the smoker, but without buying a semi truck conversation, can’t take it all.

I was all about minimize, minimize and then minimize some more. Somehow I had what I always needed but not what I always wanted. I can live with that
