How do they work? I think I gave some friends some money once and they put me on a square, and I knew I got screwed on my square as soon as I gave them the cash and saw it way down and outside..

Was thinking of having a pool for Day / Time when Little Danny arrives. Due Date Nov 1st. Maybe 5 bucks a square? or 10 bucks? I dunno..

Good idea / bad idea? Who wants to run this thing.. I'm in for a few squares (and no you can't predict when the kid is going to come for those without kids..)

It doesn't matter where YOUR square is before the numbers are drawn.
If it's legit, the numbers are drawn at random top to bottom, left to right after ya pick YOUR square and all squares are sold or accounted for.
Then the payout is based on the single digit or last digit of that teams score listed in the column of numbers.
Sometimes is determined by the final score of the game, or a % paid out at each score change, or quarter scores, or all scoring in football.

When you buy a square for a football game you pick your square
THEN the numbers 1,2 ,3,4,5,...0 are drawn and assigned vertical
and horizontal so each square is assigned two numbers. At the end of each quarter a prize is awarded based on the numbers. 1st quarter score
Raiders;42 Giants 0. Guy with 2,0 as his numbers wins. So Dave when your
square was assigned it didn't really matter where it was physically located on the board, it was the numbers associated to the
square thru a random draw. For example; 4,0 are good numbers to have as 14 - 10
is a common score. 5,2 are bad as you don't often see 15-12 or
5-12 as a football score ......

If you did a pool for the birth of your son (congratulations by the way, and I'm a Danny too!) you would have to decide how many days of time we were talking
about- then sell the entries and divide the number of days equally by the
number of entries.
I'll run the thing and you collect the $
You just decide how many days you want to cover.
If he's due on the 22nd we would say like 21, 22, 23
Sell say 31 entries-
3 days is 24 x 3 hrs =72 72 /31 =2.32
So we would break the 3 days into 2hr 19.2 min increments. (.32 x 60min.=19.2) and randomly assign a equal increment to each participant thru
some sort of draw.
If we do it, the above are the rules cause I'm not typing all that shit again
and I wouldn't have an entry.
Again congratulations on the new baby and let me know- I'm happy to help

I'm in. That should be fun. I've heard of people doing that before.
