A client of mine had his CPA firm ask him to lunch so they can discuss year-end performance. He had a nice lunch with two partners, the firm paid the bill, and the following month he got billed for each partners time plus the cost of lunch. He said had he known they were going to charge him for the lunch he would’ve ordered a steak. He switched firms shortly thereafter and has been with who I referred him to ever since.
