Well I did it again. I always say the higher the risk the more likely you will have fun. So Tuesday afternoon I go to rip around on my off-road electric powered skateboard. I end up going down hard and fast I'm paralyzed and can't move so I call my wife and tell her she might want to come home and to call the ambulance 911 on her way. The ambulance asked me what happened so I informed them of the incident and I holding my leg and I told them that I believe I broke my femur. So as they're getting ready to put me on the gurney they inform me that I'm going to be in a lot of pain. And I tell them I'm used to it pain doesn't bother me at all. So at the hospital they checked me out more and tell me that I did in fact break my femur and that I would have to have surgery done. I tell them no problem go for it well I got to tell you I have always struggled in my life trying to put weight on this was not my idea of doing that I believe with all the hardware they put in I probably weigh a little bit more now. Looks like I'm back in my Walker and then my cane once again. So in a nutshell I break it on Tuesday afternoon take an ambulance ride to the hospital bolt me all back together Tuesday night get some sleep after surgery started walking the Halls Wednesday morning. Don't ever offer me to do something that will be fun because I definitely will go for it They keep me overnight I'm back home the next day.

I sold my Halo skateboard after I high-sided it in Huntington doing some stupid shit. Wrecked me for a week.

I still skate regularly but not on the electrics anymore. They give a false sense of security like an E-Bike.

Hope you heal up soon. Femurs are no joke once you realize how much you rely on them lol

Hahaha you failed to realize that this is the second time that I have broken my femur first time back in the day in Hawaii. I was in a full body cast in traction for a total of 9 months and I had to learn how to walk all over again. The first time I broke my femur the bone was trying to stick out of my skin they told me lucky I know how to handle the pain and that I must be built different.

Thanks Ziggy I heal up pretty darn fast when I had my quadruple bypass I was walking with a walker the next day and I was able to walk up two flights of stairs and I push myself to where I could walk the full length of the channel including Rotary Park without assistance in 2 weeks.

This is me before they used to make skateboard parks. A bunch of us local boys would let each other know if we knew where there were any empty swimming pools and would sneak in there when there was nobody around. Yeah that's right when I was young I did have a afro for real that Island blood

That's was a blast doing that one. Everyone was afraid to look away from their computers in fear that they would miss something because everybody knows I've always fly by the seat of my pants. You never know what you're going to get but when you get it you'll remember it!
