If I take the boat home then i would do it. I don’t need the boat home cause that will start other drama. 🤣
Thats funny! I've pulled stuff off the boat and taken it home. Get parts, fix it at home then put it back on the next trip. Steering cylinders for example

After going round and round with whoever the F built the ones on my SW, and shipping it back twice, I’ll never do that again. Just order a new one and be done.

Boat is in Parker and wont be seeing it Labor day week. Why I asked if theres an hydraulic shop out there. I'll call eddie marine but probably end up with the wrong part.

Eddie Marine MIGHT have the parts needed to rebuild the ram. They are close enough you could pick the parts up on the way out. Ask them what else you would need and you should be good.

Make sure that whichever shop you use puts the snap ring back in correctly and not backwards. Otherwise, you run the risk of blowing out the billet groove in the ram and needing to replace the entire assembly. If this happens, the project will likely snowball because the new rams have a different end cap design and also a different mount for the trim indicator cables. A shop I used to use messed this up on both rams when they rebuilt them. Both rams failed with around 20 hours of time after the rebuilds.

Slight derail here, which way is the correct way? Roundish edge out or sharp edge out?

I am not an expert on this and I don't want to steer you in the wrong direction. I don't recall which way they were done on my rams, but I will say that several people looked at it and told me that they were installed incorrectly (either backwards, wrong snap rings used, not seated in the groove 100%, etc) which lead to unrepairable damage to both trim rams.

Emailed and called Eddie marine couple times and no response.

Found the seals through McMaster and rebuilt the rams.
