The North Carolina National Guard (NCNG) is aware of an incident involving a NCNG UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter during a delivery of generators at the request of a local civilian organization to power their distribution outpost in western North Carolina.
The NCNG continued their explanation of what happened in a thread.
While attempting to land, rotor wash caused items to blow away from the local distribution set up by a group of civilians in the area. The crew immediately identified the situation, aborted the landing for safety reasons, and departed the area.
This incident is currently under investigation and the crew has been grounded until the investigation is complete. The NCNG is working with the identified local civilian organization to assess the level of damage caused by the rotor wash.

pilot sounds like a Surf Boat operator.... obliviously to potential damage that might occur from his rotor wash...I heard two people comment on this the next day when rhe viseo was going viral. One was a former Spcial Forces guy (lots of time in helicopters) that was on the ground when this happened. He was either Canjun Navy or Mercury One. The other is a former Blackhawk pilot. Both said that it looked like the helo was coming in for a landing, and aborted based on what the rotor wash was doing on the ground (based on the maneuvering of the helo). The pilot also added that there are things the pilots could have done to significantly ncrease rotor wash on the ground if their intent was to cause damage.
I watched it all the way through, crazy how the narrative changes depending on who is telling the story. Let Ukraine have a "natural disaster" and see where the help comes from...x.com

This is absolutely HORRIFIC. I literally just cried my eyes out listening to this lady and I can’t stop crying.
She is in Western North Carolina and wants to let us know what is actually happening there because the News is NOT covering it.
She’s in charge of dispatch and operations and all the leads are coming into her and she’s vetting everything. She said this will be going on for months and she will be helping them until that community is rebuilt and they are no longer needed. She’s also worry that people will forget about North Carolina.
The fact is she’s been assisting with the running missions and dispatch for an operations team. They’ve been running 70 missions a day getting help to the people who are NOT getting help right now. This is FIRST HAND knowledge, the death toll of 200ish that’s being reported is NOT accurate. Her organization sent out 10,000 body bags to local authorities this week and they are requesting more. They have spoken to the funeral homes and the refrigeration trucks that they’ve brought in and there’s 1,000 in this town and 800 in another town and 500 in another and they are finding more bodies every day, this is an ongoing process. They have cadaver dogs and med teams going out and it’s not only deaths from this storm, but deaths since the storms.
PLEASE listen to her whole video because she tells you exactly what they are doing and how they’re helping and also how we can help because the need is so high. PLEASE help if possible
I’m gonna sound stupid for telling this story, but it’s ok to sound stupid if I feel it will help. Last week I saw a chance to NOT only go to Coachella for Trump’s rally, but also saw a chance to meet President Trump and take pictures with him and I told my hubby let’s pay that amount and let’s do that and he said ꪻꫝể if you really want to do that, I’m not gonna stop you, but I know you and I know you would rather take that money to help the victims of Hurricane Helene and he’s absolutely right…
That video is BS. 10,000 body bags?x.com

How much do body bags cost and how many do you keep on hand in a disaster area? Do you make sure you need them before you ask for them? Do disaster preparedness "people" make estimations for what they need? That video is BS. 10,000 body bags?
Did you drive over to one of the numerous FEMA DRCs (Disaster Recovery Centers) ? You can find one by googling the letters FEMA, for each site they list the services it offers, might save you some gasHad a bunch of places I needed to go to yesterday. Still not one fema truck, trailer or any other. Did see a State Farm disaster relief semi set up at Lowes.
While I don't necessarily disbelieve her, a little more information would add a ton of credibility to her story. Dispatch for an ops team? What ops team? 70 missions a day? What do these missions entail? What areas are the hardest hit? What do they need? It's all very vague when it comes to the who, what. When, where.x.com

Not in a million years could someone ever imagined this happening there. What a shame and I feel for those that lost either their lives or their livelihood.
There’s no way to fix this.

Whatever it is, in the water's reflection, it appears "higher" than the tent. Maybe something suspended and closer?
