Perhaps if the Fed Govt spent some time showing successful efforts in western North Carolina it would go a long ways in dispelling what they are calling false rumors. Did other inmates happen to see the convoy of 60 Walmart 18 wheelers bringing supplies into the area? Impressive, to say the least. Just now saw this post and yes we were really lucky that missed us. Have one coming in right now as a CAT 5. Looks like it’s going to make landfall just south of Tampa. I’m sure we will get heavy winds from the outer bands. Hate hurricane season, almost lost my brother in Helene when it hit NC.

Talked to Naples family today. Called grandma this morning. I said dang you should grab the dog and go down to the Keys for this one. Anyhow when I was talking to her this morning she made the decision yesterday morning and drove up to my aunts house in Alabama. That put me at ease knowing she'll be safe.

Still have family staying behind in Naples, but my Uncle is a contractor and he'll have everything buttoned down and I know that him and immediate family will be safe.

Have some more family that are Sarasota area, but haven't heard much, but I'm hoping that they head north.

Agreed. The video I saw of the BH did not look like the pilot aborted a landing rather, he meant to disrupt the operation. I will concede that their may be another camera angle that doesn't look so damning, but I haven't seen it.

No, have family (brother-in-law and his wife) & property in Fort Myers Beach, family in Nokomis Beach & actually a lot of friends all over Florida that have moved from California and Arizona.
