Human Trafficking is tied directly to illegal immigration, and it is one of the true evils that exist today just as they did centuries ago. It's not walking around in chains or being forced to live on a plantation and do manual labor (at least here in the states). Those true victims of the trafficking are many times forced into prostitution or become mules to pay off their debts. Families are continually extorted, and kids are used as powerful tools to influence the outcome.

Anybody supporting "Open Borders" at this point is only supporting all of the above. It is truly evil.

Prison story:

Before I went to prison for January 6th misdemeanors, I'd heard about child sex trafficking, but I had no idea if the stories I'd heard were true. I have a close multi-decade friend who works with victims, and I trust him, but I still couldn't get my head around this topic.

One day in prison, a fellow inmate who had been stand-offish asked if she could speak to me privately. I welcomed the conversation, though I had no idea what she wanted to talk to me about.

She poured her heart out to me for almost two hours.

She was born in Mexico. Her dad left when she was little and a few years later, her mom died. She and her sisters were left alone to fend for themselves in a poor Mexican village.

She told me that not long after her mom's death, her distant relative came to "rescue" her and her sisters and take them to America. He took her and her young sisters over the border with the promise of safety and a better life.

Her tears flowed as she meticulously described the house they were lodged in, the bunk beds they were placed in, the faceless men who paid to come rape them, and how the sobbing of her little sister on the adjacent bunk broke her heart.

She had nothing to gain by telling me her story, which made me believe her even more. I think she just needed a compassionate ear.

Long story, but she moved across the country from California to Louisiana and married a police officer, thinking she was finally safe and could relax. They had two children. Then he cheated on her. Then he physically abused her. Then she left him and moved back to California.

She ended up on drugs - using and selling. Her children ended up on drugs- using and selling.

This is how she wound up in prison. This is how her children wound up in jail. This is how multi-generational imprisonment works.

These inmates are not throw-aways. I hope this will help you see them as people.
