I have a big head, literally. Finding comfortable hats has always been a bitch. I got my new RDP hat in L/XL (thanks Tony), and it's wearable but it's gonna give me a headache until the elastic stretches.

I have several flex fits and they all are great but it takes some time for them to stretch out.

Anyone have a suggestion on how to stretch it?

Get a haircut .... Instant relief :D

When I get a tight hat, I get it wet. Not damp, but soaking wet while wearing it, then air dry. Works for me.

I have the same problem... My wife found a website that sells big boy hats. Ill post the link in a few.

I coach... I am in the sun way too much. It's difficult to find hats that fit and look good.

Flexfix does make a hat larger then l/Xl but I have never seen them in stores only gifts from company's we do business with!

DONT... I mean DONT get these hats soaking wet!!!! I trashed my last 2 by getting them wet. :grumble::grumble:

I would try 2FF's way, and if not just wear it on a hot day and you will sweat it big enough.

Enjoy!!! Glad I could help. :party2:

Oh, and the other question... did you take the cardboard thingy out of it???? :p

Every Flex Fit had I've purchased, this has been a problem. I normally can only wear them for a short time, when they are new. I've never tried the water option, but it sounds like a good idea.:thumbsup

the only time i have had an issue with ruining hats by getting them wet is after they have been worn for a while and have the sweat line. usually by then they are ruined anyways, but haven't had any issue by getting them soaked once to stretch them out.

Sure, but then you would need to glue a japanese hand fan on one side for a brim, but at least you have the wire handle for a chin strap :D

Dam...i thought my 7 5/8/ 7 3/4 was big...lol

I have an 8 that "fits" but it's a little loose. If I go any smaller than 7 3/4 my facial starts pushing out faster than my normal 11 am shadow.

This may sound a little simple but find a head shaped object larger than your head and store you hat on it. It'll stretch it out a little and it won't be too tight.

In the Corps we used an adjustable hat form to keep our covers shaped and squared away.

I have this problem with Condoms unless I can wear one for a couple days. When I go to swinging parties I generally have to try all the chicks out after they have been soaking in the Hot Tub so I don't get double squeezed.

I have a big head also. Hats are not the prob, but condoms. Try Magnums, they are still a little tight but work better than the small regular ones.:thumbsup

As an Army guy, I was always jealous of how much better your head gear looked, and the entire uniform for that matter, lol.

Could be worse, you could have a size 10 shoe and size 2 hat.

Flex hats suck. Fitted is the only way to go. RD needs to order up some fitted RDP hats. New Era MLB FittyOne Fittys. :D 7 1/2 - 7 5/8 for me. My big brain requires a big hat. :D
