A family friend and husband to my former secretary was killed last night around 10:00 PM. He stepped outside to go get the mail and was struck by a passing car in front of their home.

Rich Bohanan, Chino CA, was the father of two young boys and the husband to his high school sweetheart. We ask that you keep the Bohanan family in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you,

Mark

My thoughts and prayers are with you and the affected family.

Life is precious and you need to live throught the hard times and thoroughly enjoy the good times. One of the main reasons I own a boat. I want my family to have good times and good memories.

God Bless

I am calling all the rice grinder shops within a 10 mile circle, so they can put the word out. This is becoming my life's mission.

You guys can help...

The vehicle is described as a dark-colored Honda or Acura-style. The car sustained front-end damage, was leaking fluids, is missing an amber front turn signal and may have a modified exhaust system.

Please help us find these killers. If you live in So Cal let us say within 50 miles of Chino in all directions, could please call ONE junkyard, parts dealer, body shop or grinder shop for the family. Let everyone know it would be easier on these killers to turn themselves in to the CHP.

Rich was 41 with a wife and two sons. Don't let this go cold.

Terrible.

Michele, his wife, was out with them as well. Cody (oldest son) was at Hockey practice when it happened.

We are all still very numb. It helps to know the niece found the KILLERS car. Homeboy will be found next.

Thank you one and all.

We are going to go see the family today. They ask all but immediate family to give them a day to mourn alone.

I just recieved this from Denise off Michele's Facebook.

From Michi...
Funeral will be April 25th. Details will follow in private messages. Thank you for all kind posts. I can not express my emotions of sadness, depressed, lost, lonely, anger, confused, scared, and mostly longing which is just a fragment of how I feel all of the time. We can't have him back.

Here is an update on our friend Rich. Thank you all for caring.

Rich's service is set for April 25th at 1:30pm

As you have all heard, Rich Bohannan was killed Tuesday night April
14th, by a hit & run driver, outside of his home witnessed by his son
Kyle and Michelle.

Rich a sole provider leaves behind his wife Michelle & his sons Cody
& Kyle. For all of you that knew the Bohannan family, you know that
Rich was a great husband, father and friend. He was very active in
the hockey community and always there to help & support his son & the
other boys.

The Bohannan's have an open door policy at their home, anyone is
welcome at anytime. There have been countless occasions when they
have opened their home for Church Members, Hockey Families , Ayala
High School Friends and Briggs families and friends. For that we
Thank You!

Cody & Kyle have been long time fixtures at the California Stars
hockey rink, Cody became a "Star" when the rink first opened many
years ago. Kyle was always there to support his brother and cheer on
the team.

With cooperation from the family, The Bohannan Family Assistance Fund
has been established thru a local bank. As we help the family move
forward in this difficult time, the fund will be available for
Michelle and the boys whenever they need it. For a stay at home mom
these can be very challenging times. Donations are encouraged and no
donation is to small. Please make your check payable to:

The Bohannan Family Assistance Fund
12821 Mountain Ave. #113
Chino, CA 91710

Your donations are tax deductible.

Dear Hockey Family,

Rich Bohannan Memorial Charity Game - Center Ice Ontario - 05/02/2009 7:00 pm

As you know, the California Stars are hosting a special fund raiser charity game in memory of our friend Rich Bohannan who was killed last week. The proceeds from this game will benefit the Bohannan Family Fund under the auspices of the California Stars Booster Club.

As club president I am extending a personal invitation to your son to play in this game. The club wanted to extend the first invitation to players who played with Cody Bohannan over the years. We will then open it up to other interested players. We want to get 40 players to participate. I have spoken with many of you personally but this email serves as a formal written invitation. We ask that the family of each participating player make a $50 donation to the fund payable to CALIFORNIA STARS BOOSTER CLUB. Players are asked to arrive at the rink at 6:30 pm to check in. Each player will receive a special commemorative jersey and be recognized prior to the start of the game.

Please confirm via email if your son will play in this game. If he is not able to play please let me know as well so we can give the spot to another player. Responses can be email to: [email protected] . Please reply no later than this Friday, April 24, 2009.

Thank you for your support of the Bohannan Family fund. One hundred percent of the proceeds from this event will benefit Michelle Bohannan and her sons. They have advised me that Cody plans to play in the game so this will be an opportunity for your family to show their support and for your son to join Cody on the ice as a team mate and friend. We look forward to a great event and ask for your participation.

Thank you,
Rob Freeman, President
California Stars Hockey Club
