Like mentioned they made it to Hatteras... I checked on Windy... current conditions good w/ 1-2' and 7knt winds.

They're just giving periodic updates looks like.

We’re they running night vision?
He said on first leg they were running 95 mph and just missed a floating telephone pole.... yeesh. I've run at night here on Pacific but always near shore where I have some coastal lights for vision. No idea how far out he is running and what visability will be .... he did mention GA to FLA weather gets bad blowing 25 knts so that'll be gruesome if so.
EDIT; I just checked Windy from GA to FLA coastal and its pretty good actually for them.... Single digit winds and 1-2' chop entire way so he might've just been glamorizing for audience.

I respect the shit out of it ! Ridiculous amount of prep goes into this. Planning. And then flat out balls to pull it off.

Good luck !

Yeah, and fuck the haters 😂
Mike Howe & twin brother define success. Textron merged with these guys Robotics company. Total success before Textron and now after merger.

Zero updates for 6+ hour's. They should be at a fuel stop now.
He stated their buddy 'Nicole" [lil cutie at launch] would be monitoring & updating on regular but I asked and got notta. So like @Racer56 said maybe just wait for fuel stop update. I imagine onboard the kids have hands full at that speed.

No update on the run……..

However, the weather is completely awful right now. Rain, thunder, lightning.

I just can’t imagine trying to fly through the current south Florida weather. The next few hours are not supposed to be any better.

Here is a pic of current SoFlo weather.

I hope they make it. I watched their run to the Bahamas. That was a great watch. Can't wait to see the post edit video on this one.

I understand they have a Youtube channel and likely have a deal with MTI and Mercury but planning by the date instead of a weather window is crazy.
They knew the weather was going to be bad in Florida before they left Maine.

Maybe she has to be at work Monday

WOW those two are meant to be together.... strong duo.... and to think they'll be on that boat again tomorrow to go further south! I dunno bout you guys but I wouldn't wanna see my boat for a month.

I'm impressed... and how smart are they to have bailed on all that nasty stuff ahead.

I just checked their FB and they posted a video from this morning as they headed out of St Augustine, FL ..... He was doing 90 as they ended vid so chop didn't look too bad. Geez I can't imagine getting back on that boat so fast. They looked a bit worked but he seems kinda indestructable .... my take on her from vid is she might benefit from some time away from him and a day at spa.

The wife’s boat knowledge and comfort is impressive. I first noticed as they prepared to dock to off load the drone video guy, in the middle of the night in NYC harbor. One brief, We’ll need one line because he has gear, was all she needed. She took care of it.

Then his obvious emotional remark, I looked over and realized ‘she was broken’. When speaking about her state the prior afternoon, many miles offshore in bad weather.

Wait really? Ouch
Yeah he said it all right. I don't know if that MTI has spring loaded seats but pure guess is no. When I was 20 I dated one of the Mears nieces down in San Diego.... only time I ever heard about blood in urine was when one of my gals uncles mentioned his issue... he was an off road dude.

That MTI looked like a bouncey ride and as a relatively novice boating guy who only rides in ocean I am always standing up to absorb the pounding. This MTI ride over 2K miles and the design of that boat I guess requires a more seated driving experience. Ouch. Additionally, I can never "see" through a damn windshield when underway. I'm sure I'm missing something on these sit down big offshore cats .... I need some feedback on how these guys actually ergonomically make this pleasurable. 🧐
EDIT..... hoping some of our offshore guys can give input. @Tank @H20 Toie , etc.....

2million dollar boat with four harbor freight ratchet straps securing the aux fuel tanks. Brilliant.

This guy is one of the founders of the RipSaw tracked vehicle. Pretty competent engineering type, I'm hoping he has a better solution for keeping those tanks from bouncing around while hammering down the coast.

I've watched a lot of their videos on youtube, pretty good content and they're definitely living life to the fullest. I hope they break the record!
I watched the episode. He wanted the staps to be the wekest link so it wouldnt damage the threads where the seats mount in the floor.
