I never went to college. Got three kids in college right now and I'm paying for all three to go. Guess I did alright without it. I graduated high school in 1976. Things were different then. Today a high school diploma doesn't mean as much. My kids remind me that I didn't go to college and I'm very sucessful and I just tell them to shut up...you're going to college. :D :D My oldest graduated from the University of Memphis with a major in English. She finished in two and a half years and graduated magna cum laude. We're all very proud of her. She was the first person on either side of my family to attend college, much less graduate.

I spent a total of 8 years at SDSU. I received a B.A. degree in secondary education but originally was a Business major. Spent another year after my B.A. for the credential program to become a teacher. Taught for a year then went to Grad School at SDSU for my Master's in Education. All my education, books, and our first jet boat was paid for by scholorships and grants except for 3k which was paid off by the high school I taught at. Worked since I was 15 and saved to cover other expenses. I ended up with a 3.97 gpa for all my years of college. One teacher gave me a damn A-.

In 2004 while still teaching, I went to the school I originally wanted to attend right out of High school but was persuaded by my teachers and counselors not to go that route or I would become a starving artist. The Art Center College of Design for Automotive & Transportation design. I believe it was $600-800 a class but I got a discount for being a teacher.

Went to LA Harbor JC for 2 years and got my AA. Then went to CSULB for a year. While there I got married, had a son and moved out of the area. Finished up at CSULA when my son was 5 years old. When I started JC tution was $6 and student union fees were $2. This was in '62. My parents did not pay for my tution but I did pay for my son's tution.

After high school I moved out of state to AZ and was on my own. The plan was to become a resident and then go to ASU. I never made it. I worked full time and took night classes at Phoenix College and Mesa Community College. Dropped out after a few years and moved to Vegas for a radio job. Never looked back and have done ok. Didn't get that engineering degree but I got an E-ticket. :D

Oh, then I started up the packaging company last October. :)
