We headed down about 4 also holy shit that was a lot of traffic on the river. I’m glad you have it dialed now.
I saw you in the gorge either Saturday or Sunday. We were heading north, and you south. How do you like your boat? My 26’ Nordic was great in the rough water!

There was a ton of boats on Saturday going home!

We love it. Rides night and day from the magic. Definitely glad we have the hp to push that heavy boat.

Wanted to provide some updates on my boat. I STILL love it! It is such a fun boat to drive!
I figured out pretty quick that it was very light in the front end. It sits in the water ass heavy and when driving it feels front end light so when you get on plane to about 50mph, it likes a little negative trim, just a touch under neutral. Then if it’s smooth enough to go faster, you can trim up to just above neutral.

I didn’t like my first prop, a Maximus 5, because if you accelerated hard enough, it felt like the front would keep lifting no matter the trim angle. So I found the Max 5 ST to be a lot better. Still, the boat had the tendency in rough water to jump nose high, so I would have to let off the throttle then get back into after the front came down, which slowed your momentum greatly. It was hard to maintain speed above 40mph when it got really rough on the big lake because of this.
At the beginning of this season I started adding lead to the front in 25lb increments and after this last weekend in Havasu, I am completely ecstatic with the results.
No more nose high attitude when attacking rough water. Totally different experience now.
I always have my wife and kids in the boat so safety and comfort are the only things that matter to me.
Saturday I left Pirates at 4pm with a million other boats when it looked like we where going to get a storm over us. It was a very fun trip down river to the lake. Was able to cross Havasu from the mouth to the Islander at about 60-70mph where I could have never done that before.

What a great weekend of boating! I really do have the perfect boat for us!So what did you add to make the boat more smoother in the water and thank you 👍
