I got a little bit of boating in but mostly just spent the weekend unpacking at home and getting situated again in the shop. Im beginning to realize how much shit I have. This entire wall is just parts for my personal projects😳🤯 this is not the final resting place for all these parts, just where they are for the moment until I get the rest of my stuff unpacked and out of the garage.

a couple of pictures of everything else. The dual post lift will be going in in the back section past the garage door in the middle. 5ton AC is on the way as well and will be going in on the wall over the bench.

Solo weekend for the first time in forever. Wife went to Nashville to visit my oldest. The other 2 kids had plans so i shot back to Havasu. It reminded me of our first summer in Atl when the wife/kids went to visit the family in so cal. Thought it was gonna be awesome. Kinda ok at the beginning but mostly sucked.

Cruised down to the channel Sunday and Monday. Hit the dog park and then walked the channel.

Spent the evenings hanging in the spa. 100 degrees outside and 99 in. 🤔

Rearranged some stuff around in the garage/storage. Ran the SXS’s and topped off the batteries on everything. Revived an old thread and started to add garage door insulation to the storage unit.

Dinner at The Chair. (Not Blue Chair anymore, thanks Kenny Chesney). Not my Marg. That thing is huge. Red Bull can for reference

Had a good time this weekend with some friends and Family. Was out there since Monday night but didn’t get on the water till Friday since we had some work to get done on sisters house out there. Typically like to do a couple early morning glass runs upriver but since it was windy most mornings, I didn’t attempt it this time .

Ended our last day on the water watching the fireworks and it was a perfect way to finish the long weekend. Brother bought a green fish light off Amazon to light up the back of the boats. Worked well and as you can see , even attracted some bait haha.

Must be a money issue but the Kingman fireworks are lame. Same shit every year and a feeble limp dick 8 second grand finale.

So you can’t get Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s or good fireworks in Kingman because of the demographic?

Our weekend was amazing. Friday night out to dinner with friends in town.
Saturday to dinner with friends at La Vida Doce then to the Flying X for some fun
Sunday to the Keys to meet up with other friends and hang in the water.
Monday did a little work on projects then to a friends house for some time in the pool and waited for the fireworks.
Today…….ugh!!!! Back to work. Sorry Paul and Joe had hoped to be on the water with you two today. 😭😭😭😭😭

Hallett regatta huh?

I was trying to make that work today with all those guys too. Did all my work for the week this afternoon instead. Tomorrow we ride… errrrr boat!

I was wondering what happened to you and our Tuesday boating. Thought….damn I must have fugged up and you were ghosting me. LOL got the garage door guys coming early. Should not be too late. What time are you thinking? Is the family with you? I think that the wife might join the fun. 👍

Teenage daughter driving lessons... She made a wide right turn and there was a car coming from the opposite direction, so she jerked the wheel into a parked car... It's all good, no injuries other than to both cars (and my pride  😂 😭...)

Suddenly I was yearning for a super soaker to the face...

Lol I went home, just got back with the family today. Will probably launch at lunch or just after lunch tomorrow. We are thinking BBQ on the beach somewhere. You are welcome to join of course. Might be a few boats and a couple BBQs to throw meat on :)

@DWC what day was this?
crazy that someone spent 250k+ on that pontoon to wake up early and park it in the channel? haha
That was 4th of July. Think it’s a little boat of the group? Kinda like the spooled up toon. It had another name on the side of it. 😳

We ended up going to the family beach house in Ventura. I was trying to make some time to run down to Oxnard and meet up with @Tank but it just didn't work out. Got too busy showing the kids all the stuff I liked to do as a kid going there. It was the first time rather of the babies had been to the beach and the first time in a long time that the oldest 2 had been to the beach also. So that was really great to see them all playing in the sand and water laughing and enjoying themselves. I didn't get many pictures, never do, but I will definitely remember it.

I had a joyous time working Saturday, then OT on Sunday. Flew a guy off Cameback Saturday afternoon that was in really rough shape. Sunday was uneventful but lucrative. 4th had family and friends over for BBQ and hit Saguaro lake yesterday. Perfect water. Almost no one there, except for these guys…

Worked on the carport Saturday, took the boat out to Elsinore on Sunday, then just chilled at home away from all the madness on the 4th. Great weekend overall.

We spent the day on the lake on the 3rd and the 4th, wife and I made the executive decision that it would be the last time we put the boat in the water on the 4th, I guess we are getting old.

Highlight of the weekend was getting a twilight run in on the 3rd, seemed like everyone got off the lake just for us, or it might have been because it might have been just a few minutes past “sunset” and the lake is supposed to be 5mph, either way it was great.

Was a great 4th of July weekend for us!

We wanted something slow and easy so decided to head south to spend some time with my lady’s family.

Started with a Friday night in Tucson. Cheap drinks, great dj and a little dancing at Hotel Congress. Followed with a pepperoni pie and some Mexican sodas. Felt like college.

Headed to Nogales the next morning and got a tour of her family’s produce distribution warehouse. They’ve been in business for over 30yrs and built their cooling warehouse almost 14years ago. What stood out to me was 97% of the power needed to bring the temp below 40deg was from what seems like a small amount of solar panels. They sell excess to the power company for $.01 and buy it back at night for $.07.

Sunday included a round @ Tubac with her dad and brothers. This is the course where a lot of Tin Cup was filmed. 242yrds from the sign to the pin with water on your right.

Monday was one of the slowest days I’ve had in a while. We hung out on the patio all day and watched the monsoons roll through. Played a bunch of Uno, Mancala and hunted down wasps to feed to the chickens. Even managed to get a little shed hunting in while Hitch terrorized the cows. Watched a real small town americana parade then took the pups to Patagonia Lake. Had a nice drive back up to Phx watching the sunset 👌🏽

Easily one of the best weeks I've had in Havasu...

Got there Tuesday did some zoom calls each day and hung by the pool.

Took the boat out for one last trip before I delivered to the new owner. Cool dude from WA that actually hung with us all day Friday before he took the boat.

Saturday pool and BBQ day and then Sunday took the kids to the floating trampoline boat thing and hung in the water all afternoon.

Monday we went down to the channel with a cooler and hung most of the afternoon. For being boat-less this weekend, we had an amazing time.

Didn't get many pics...Enjoyed the moment and left phone in the house!

Your Lady's family live in Nogi or Patagonia? Beautiful area there (terrain at least). I drove past her family distribution center plenty of times going to a couple job sites in Nogales.

Not cleared to go boating this year but did have a great 4th at home. All of my sons were home and they invited the ASU and SDSU waterski teams to party at the house. The day started mellow with family and friends for BBQ lunch poolside. We cleared out to another location once the kids started to arrive.

Spent most of my weekend in front of my computer working. One quick helicopter shoot Sunday morning. The highlight was seeing everyone up at the Neal's place. The view of the lake up there is next level. Great catching up with everyone!

Luckily I did not need to drive anywhere. Here is my view of Pompano Beach’s fireworks display. I have an unobstructed view!

Smoked a ton of ribs, cooked up gallons of tri tip chili and gave it all away to the neighbors, friends, local FD station and the wife’s work.

Thanks for starting an awesome thread! We went to Powell Friday came home Tuesday. Knew the lake was going to be crazy busy so we set up shop before a no wake zone in a area that had a break and watched the parade of boats. We ventured out a few times ourselves but it was nice to just relax.

I went Friday and Saturday and it wasn't that bad. Hot ticket is to get a courtesy slip at the marina and you don't have to worry. The beach is across from long Beach in the upper basin.
