I had a member join a multi day event with my kids present who turned out to be a registered pedo convicted only a few years ago . I don’t know any details surrounding that case but it was a pretty good eye-opener about never knowing someone’s past or motives . Totally agree with some of the previous comments, put 7,000+ people on a cruise ship and you're going to have some pedophiles among them.

Once had a crew member who had passed previous random drug tests while working on our vessel. After leaving our boat he went to work for a boat working for Shell Oil. They also randomly drug tested their crew. So, after he'd pissed in the bottle, Shell announced we're now going to search your vehicles, if they're parked inside the fence, within the yard controlled by Shell they are subject to a search. This guy refused to let them search his car. He was reminded, his refusal meant immediate termination. So, he was fired on the spot and left in his 'unsearched vehicle'. Shell notified local law enforcement, provided his license plate etc. LEOs found reason to pull him over and legally searched the trunk of his car. It was full of child porn. He wasn't using drugs. But, he was a pedophile who had previous difficulties with law enforcement.
