Guess it's time to cash in...I used to put all my change in one jar, but started seperating it a couple of years ago...any guesses on the weight and content of each. The gallon jar of Canadian Club is almost full...quarters only.

How / where?

I have a full quart Ball mason jar right now ready to turn in. I used to get Amazon gift cards for no commission charge with the machine at the grocery store.. it's no longer an option.

$220 in nickels and pennies
I wish!..total amount of pennies was 1712, with a weight of 9.8 lbs., totaling $17.12...Nickels = 691, with a weight of 7.8 lbs., totaling $34.55
Machine got 1 dime, and 1 quarter, and more pennies mixed in with the nickels for a total of a whopping $52.02.
I'll cash in the Dimes and quarters tomorrow...the quarter s weigh 37.6 lbs, the Dimes 7.8 lbs

Holy Shit, you’ve had that drink mug for a while. Ever throw anything out😁

Total hasn’t been in the States for over 25 years. I worked there in Denver before we got bought out by Valero. Met my wife there. My best memories of Denver!

By weight, your quarters equal $752.00

If my math is correct:
One quarter weighs 0.2 oz.
So at $1.25 an oz, that’s $20 per pound.

$20 x 37.6 pounds = $752.00

Dimes can vary I think?
But 7.8 pounds should come in around $175.00?

I hate change in my pockets and fuk pennies. 😁
I started filling this 24" tall plastic beer bottle about 6 months ago. All nickles, dimes and quarters. About half full and currently at 24lbs. Let's see what I have in another 6 months.

I do recall the good old days in Vegas when machines dropped coins. A full quart plastic bucket of quarters was right at $400. Ahhh the good old days of trying to carry 3-4 of those to the casher cage..

Accounting for the weight of the bottle?

Yeah, but if you would eyeball each one, there is a potential of being worth hundreds. Lol.

View attachment 1496323 One of these days I have to figure out what to do with this. A glass arrowhead jug filled to the rim. Can hardly move it.
Back in the day at a party, we started betting on how much was in one of those glass bottles almost full. The over under was 500. We dumped it out on a pool table divided it up and started counting. $496, obviously not a lot of quarters.

I had a similar one in college. It was my “savings account.”

It disappeared one day at our house party. I ended up throwing hands with my roommate over it. He was sort of a sheister and always short on money so I figured he was the culprit of the disappearance.

Turns out I dotted him up and it wasn’t him who jacked it😂

We’re still friends today lol

We actually found it half full in a “friends’ ” closet but ultimately got it back.

That’s a nice chunk of change you have!

When I was 13, I'd saved a half full Sparklets bottle. It was just over 600$. I took it to BofA, and they fed it through a doodad, and gave me cash (parents had an account there). Pops then gave me a ride to a sketchy house in Baldwin Park, where I went and knocked on the door. I asked if they'd sell me a car in the driveway. I came back to the car and got Pops...I needed a translator 🤣

Pulled that 64½ Mustang home with a rope!

… I was getting a money order to pay on of my hospital bill at Vallarta market the other day… They had just installed a change counter… took me awhile, but I found on the machine that it cost you 10.9% to exchange your coins for green backs..: that seems kind of pricey to me🤷🏽‍♀️..
