As I have said before, I do not understand your premise that the more in debt a nation is, the more such financial position justifies and ameliorates higher and higher deficit spending.

I was always taught the farther in debt an institution becomes, there is less capacity and prudence to continue to run up debt.

You and Regor's argument that the more debt one has, the better it is to spend beyond ones means is just a perplexing financial concept?

But if it wasn't for such competing financial concepts, it would be much harder to make a living. 👍

And there it is.

🤣🤣🤣 Where did I argue more debt was better?

You in fact support candidates that raised debt as a percentage higher than Trump. yet claim Trump is the enemy, and further you support candidates like Flake who are for wealth redistribution policies like carbon taxation.

By definition Regor, myself and many other here support more fiscally conservative candidates than you do. Clearly you don't understand what you were taught and the words you espouse seem to be antithetical to your views

Here it is again, because you clearly missed it. Maybe this will help clear up the confusion you are experiencing. 👍

View attachment 1251106
Your argument is that a president who approves deficits should be measured based upon the total debt of all previous presidents combined. That is your definition of what is conservative or not. That a 7 trillion dollar deficit is much better and more conservative than a 1 trillion dollar deficit if the country is deeper in debt when it runs the 1 trillion dollar deficit.

That is the equivalent of saying that a family that has 2,000 of credit card debt and deficit spends 2,000 dollars more than they take in, is less conservative and is actually fiscally irresponsible compared to a family who has 100,000 of credit card debt and spends 4,000 more that they take in. After all, the first family increased their debt 100 percent and the second family barely increased their debt at all. 😲

No wonder you guys think I'm crazy and not conservative. You're actually delusional.

And your argument of who is conservative is based on who hurt your feelings less. 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

Given that Trump started with the debts inherited by your heroes- Reagan, the 2 Bushes and Obama, He sure didn't increase the debt as a percentage as much as they did. How could that be?

Also, what about your Flake family that supports wealth distribution through taxation of carbon and the government picking winners and losers?

No wonder everyone thinks you are full of shit... because when the government stops picking you as a winner, you throw a multi year long fit, blaming everyone but yourself and the failing policies you support.

And you think we are better off believing the lies that you tell yourself..

You must have edited that post in hopes to avoid me proving you utterly wrong yet again.. because we all know when you tack on inflation and interest over 35 years the picture changes. It does not seem very conservative to double your debts again and again through the 80s., 90s and 2000s, yet you want to hang your Big Government hat on 1 one guy for 4 years that got caught up in a pandemic 😂

My easiest competition in life are those who cling to dogma instead of logic.

You still can't show me where I argued more debt was better. But you have certainly shown us you believe that through who you support politically.

Hey everyone, it's okay to double debt when debt is small, but when debt gets bigger AND we're paying billions each year to service that debt due to the prior CONservatives doubling debt, I draw the line!!!!!! 🤣

As you utilize deficit/spending/tariffs as your "POTUS barometer" and highest top priority to cast judgement,..... I must say that in comparison to the other issues that are rapidly destroying our Nation ... the deficit is the least of our problems. As you focus and "fiddle" on counting dollars......The $$$ printing presses are running wide open and "Rome" is burning to the ground,..... and if the Lib's regimes remain unchecked.... .Globalization will further endure and our deficit won't make a damn. ;)

Completely agree which is why I am supporting conservative candidates that can beat Biden as I am very afraid that the R primary voter will once again put forth the three time loser.

If the "R primary" voters put forth Donald J Trump as their POTUS candidate.......whether you like it or not.....that is how the system was designed and how it works. And if Trump is the "R" nominee, ....the Libs are counting on you "Trump Haters" to abandon the "party", thus giving them another "win". So logically...if you abandon the party, you just as well vote Democrat and give them a "pass" to continue...... It may be in the best interest to all concerned, for Trump Haters to put their fiddles down and work together with the party because Rome is rapidly burning! Once in ashes, nothing else matters ;)

Problem is that the largest registered voter group in America are independents at 49% of all registered voters now in 2023. Even if every registered R votes for their nominee, with only 25% of the registered voters, he loses.....for a third time.

If the R primary voter wants to stop fiddling, they better nominate someone who can win the largest registered group of voters in America, and that is the Independents.

Otherwise logically, if the 25% of the electorate that makes up registered R voters in America nominates Trump, they might as well just nominate Biden as a unity candidate with the liberals as they are handing an easy victory to the democrats on an orange platter. 😉

Your math works...only problem is....Independents don't have a party .....and by their choice, to participate in our elections, they must follow the "established" party's leads.... So by your logic, Independents are to blame if Biden wins and you can't lay blame on the R Party voters for simply voting their conscious and nominating who they believe is the best they have to offer. Once again, like it or not, this is how the current system works and if Independents and Trump Haters abandon the R Party because of Trump, they will and shall be held responsible for a Dem Win.

Conclusion, if Trump is the R choice, and this all comes to pass as outlined above, the only logical conclusion is that Independents and Trump Haters actually do hate Trump more than they Love our Country, and once again, they have allowed themselves "to be played" 😞

Yo, bottom feeder. The term is “fleshed out” not flushed out.

Well, yes and yes --- both common idoms but with different meanings. Exposing would be flushed, adding content or meat to the subject would be fleshed. Carry On. ;)

Your theory would certainly fit the unfortunate movement of American culture towards entitlement and the failure to take responsibility. The view by the R party and others that they are entitled to votes from Independents without consideration of earning such votes with a more wise choice and as a result take responsibility for what would be such an obvious loss.

The whole entitlement mentality has certainly had a deleterious effect on the ability for some to deliver results. 🤔

So....you are saying....R Party members should not vote who they believe is "their" best choice, and instead, you suggest they should cast aside their "rights of choice" and nominate who the Independents believe is the best choice, and do so simply to earn the Independent's votes. Sorry, but you just lost it my friend! 🤣

If the Independents want a "say so".......I suggest they organize as a party and lead....rather than follow. Otherwise, they need to STFU!

No, I’m suggesting if the R party wants to lead, they should nominate someone who can win.

There is a General Election after all. As you say, that’s how the system is set up. 🤷

I remember English class too. But only one year. 1 year Freshman Math, 4 year English requirement. Skirted both. Served 1 year in English. Jr. year. FT work after that.
Math, well, IDK. That didn't last long. Lol 😆
Still earned a EUHSD diploma.

I mostly paid close attention in English to the girl in front of me.. 😆 🤣 😂 😹

No question I'd have scored higher had my father made good on his threat to send my "Incorrigible" ass (His words 😁) to that military academy up at Lake Elsinore. Yes, I admit to also suffer from an incurable distraction caused by the opposite sex, and I'm happy to admit, I still do. 😍 🥳 😁

No, this is where you are wrong .....a "party" is derived of people and they should nominate a person(s) who they believe best represents their beliefs, political positions, and goals, and in the event the nation agrees,..... they win.
It appears you have lost perspective of the core objectives and fundamental beliefs which founded our nation....... You are suggesting Republican's "whore" out their votes only to serve a group of "Independent" stiff arming "pimps"....... otherwise, face the consequences. IMO, what you are suggesting is not only disgraceful, but in opposition to the foundations established within our Constitution as well.

Mom wanted to send me to Army and Navy in Carlsbad. Lol. Straightened up. Went to work. Talked her out of that. Not necessarily in that order. lol. By the time She went to my graduation in the Cafeteria at Escondido HS, I was working 2 jobs, and Mom was living with me. Sissy too, soon after Mom passed. Glad I got started early. Glad She knew I was set. RIP Ma, Pa..
Bought my first house less than 4 years later. Construction in San Diego County in the 1970's was wide open.
Best thing She ever did was move us to San Diego County from Pasadena. Thanks Mom!

If one wants to be the leader of the R party your views are entirely accurate. But in the general election America elects a President of the entire Country, not just a President of a party.

And that is the point that both parties have completely lost sight of. And the reason why the country is stuck with the choice between Trump and Biden. A choice that clearly demonstrates how both parties primary voters care more about themselves than the Country as a whole. And the reason why Independents are now the largest voting bloc in the country.

Please tell me anytime in recent history when a Presidential nominee was elected as POTUS w/o FIRST being considered as a Party's Presidential choice.

Please tell me any time in history when “no party” was the plurality of voters in this country by ten points. A plurality that is necessary to be elected in a general election.

As I said earlier.....I suggest these "Independents" that are so powerful as you say...organize and lead........ otherwise they are nothing more than a "bunch" of belly aching pussies that seek to cast blame for their failures on others.

No single president serves the interests of every single person in this nation and we know this. People vote for the person that best aligns with their goals and views both financially and morally. Does that mean every president comes through on promises they've made, no. However the problem is during the last administration people from both sides seen the multiple blockades that were put up to stop Trump from trying to full fill the things he said he wanted to do.

I don't know if your independent stats are accurate or not but I think you really down play Trumps true numbers in whole also.

Well as most in here will tell you I’m pretty dumb so maybe you are correct and independents are not applicable to this race.

But I do know he ain’t president as he lost to Joe fucking Biden. It would appear that the R primary voter believes the definition of insanity is no longer applicable in 2024. 🤷

Not saying independents aren't applicable just saying I don't think the numbers are that high, then again could be wrong. I just see the division right down the middle plain and simple. Just as the Trump supporters aka "Maga" people are loyal to Trump same thing applies on the left. I know some hard core left wing voters that no matter what and I mean no matter what will never switch their vote then there are some moderate lefties I know that are completely done with the party. Speaking to them Trump isn't their first choice but have recognized the attacks on him and don't agree with how it's handled. They also aren't to happy with the mental health of the current president and also the light that is currently shining on his family.

Your numbers are partially true, but independents don’t vote as a block or even a bandwagon. They are not truly a third party.
roughly 40% lean left, and 40% lean right.

Well as most in here will tell you I’m pretty dumb so maybe you are correct and independents are not applicable to this race.

But I do know he ain’t president as he lost to Joe fucking Biden. It would appear that the R primary voter believes the definition of insanity is no longer applicable in 2024. 🤷
Prove that 81 million individual humans voted for Biden, not just votes but actual living humans, 81 million of them. You’d be hard pressed to find 60 million.

There is zero proof that 81 million people voted for Biden. So, yet again your comments are baseless…

Your purity to political party over Country is an interesting view with respect to the Founding Fathers and what they purportedly believed.

Let's dumb this down .....You are arguing that people of a "party" should sacrifice their personal Rights and Freedom to elect a nominee of their choice only to elect your chosen nominee because YOU do not approve of their choice......

Yep...that is exactly what our Forefathers had in mind. 🤣🤣🤣
