Is there still any interest in the old coffin box Lincoln 225-s stick arc welder. I've had 1 sitting in the back of my garage for years with about 100#'s of rods. Old roommate left it. View attachment 1422383 View attachment 1422383
… This just reminded me I’ve got a stick welder in the shed out in my backyard… And a wire feed under the workbench in my garage… Haven’t used either in years… My Oxy acetylene stuff … I’m assuming …blew up in the forest fire🤷🏽‍♀️… Oh well…

When my boys were around 8 yrs old, they asked me if I would teach them to weld. I am not a welder by any stretch of the imagination. I got them a couple of hoods, gave them some basic pointers and told them there is the pile of scrap metal and have fun. They would bring me a piece they welded together and I would smack it with a hammer. If it broke I would show them they went to fast and didn't get good penetration. After a couple of tries they got the hang of it. Today, they make my welds look like a bird shit all over the metal LOL.
