Of all the things to go to prison over LOL

I’ve never driven a Rolls Royce, and when ever I see them out on the road I always wonder why someone would choose to put that image out there about themselves. I kinda see the vibe these things throw as “I have so much money and I really need you to know it”. I’m gonna assume that they are amazing to drive, I totally get driving a nice car because it’s a nice car to drive, I have an old S550 that I beat on like it owes me money, that things a runner, fucking amazing road car, fast, comfortable, I don’t like the image it projects but when I need to bang out some miles it’s rad. I always keep a “disposable luxury vehicle” around for utility. 😂

Can someone bring me up to speed on the Rolls Royce thing, or is my above thought pretty spot on?

I agree for sure. There are a few Rolls and Bentley SUVs in the drop-off/pickup line at my kid's school. They stick out like a sore thumb. I dont see the need to display that status. I bet a Rover, BMW, or Benz drive damn near as nice.

I have two nice rides (I consider super nice) that I bought purely because I love em, they're wonderful cars that I get a lot of enjoyment driving. One is a '91, and the other is '21. With the '91, it's an if ya know, ya know type of ride. Most probably think it's just some old Porsche...

The '21 puts off something different for sure. I dont care for the attention in most situations, but the driving experience makes up for it. Fuck it.

Who knows, it's all relative I suppose.

When I was younger I worked for a land developer that had the top of the line Bentley Varnage or whatever it was. Damn thing blew a head gasket twice and was really a piece of crap. Anyways, I drove that more than he did and it was literally a panty dropper. The term gold digger is probably more real than ever now. Girls would literally have me roll the window down to talk to them or would strike conversations as soon as you got out of it.

lol. My father worked with a guy in the late 80's who had a Rolls. He said you really need two of them because one will always be in the shop.

My girlfriend was floored when some girl asked to jump in my Cadillac at a stop light when her and I were driving out to the Temecula wineries. I’ve never been able to take it for a drive by myself ever since 😂

As a kid in Pasadena, our next door neighbor hit it big. He had a Porsche and convertible Rolls Royce.
Rolls Royce Corniche II Convertible ...

It was a pretty fancy pants ride for our block. But then again the Dodger owning O'malleys weren't too far away either. And the Seidlers who bought the Padres. Maybe 3/4 mile down the road. And Farmer John too. Farmer John gave out full sized candy for Halloween. Our neighborhood had the affordable homes on the north side and the acre+ sized lots to the south. We lived in the middle. Dad rocked a Caprice Classic. LOL

Anyway, this neighbor fellow turned out to own Otter Pops. His wife got followed home from the Alpha Beta supermarket by some scumbags and they stole her wedding ring off of her hand in the driveway. They moved a bit later. Then a pair of gay guys bought the house. My dad suggested we paint the side of our house pink. LMAO

I wonder how many people it really is. I’m sure a shit ton!
I ordered 2 sets of tires....got one set of wrong ones first, then the second set 6 months later (first order satisfied...late, but better late than never)....got refunded almost a year later for the 2nd set, but he let me keep the first set because shipping them back would have been stupid expensive....sold those to pay for a set of Method rims for the second set....of the first order lol).

I don't think he understood what he was getting into and how much of a pain in the ass it is to deal with tires and shipping tires.

This is why when I developed my business....everything I sell fits into padded envelopes or small flat rate boxes....bigger than that gets exhausting quickly.

There’s a lot more to it than just not understanding what he was getting into.

Con artist/ compulsive liar pretty much sums it up.

I enjoyed owning an S550. The only downside was that it took a long time for the novelty of lighting up the rear tires on a luxobarge to go away. Those tires were spendy.

100%. The shipping was difficult because it’s hard to send so many sets through your employers fed ex account without raising suspicion.

I think Trump should give it to border patrol, mount some 50s and mini guns on it and run it up and down the Rio Grande
Whenever I've been to the Rio Grande along the mexican border there was so little water you could walk or drive across it. And many did just that. Not even running a kayak in that stream.

I vaguely remember a post around here about tires sets for sale for incredibly low prices....I thought it looked like a total scam from the beginning....is that what you guys are talking about?

Shoulda seen my Instagram story couple weeks ago. Called his ass out. Or should I do it in here too? @gqchris
Shoulda tagged his wife in it. Seems to be extremely worried about her finding out.

He seems to sniff a lot every time he’s on the phone. Guess he probably just has a runny nose all the time. Maybe our money went to Costco packs of tissue.

To be honest, I am blown away it has taken this long for this to come to the surface here publicly for how many no BS people I assumed were involved. Everyone was real tight lipped hoping they'd get their $2k set of tires for $500 or $700. I paid for a 2nd set, but got refunded early on without much resistance from him. Took me over a year to get the complete set of 4. By the time it was obvious what was happening, we just kept our mouths shut hoping everyone would be made whole, eventually.

I don’t need money just yet. So was giving him time. Kinda accepted that I’m not getting my money so I’ll have fun with it.
