GOOD turnout,we did are own run with four boats (two Mirage and two STVs)blistering H20 at constant triple digit speeds.Weather was INSANELY hot,so we never made any stops and were VERY UNSOCIABLESo how was hooky day? Where were the stops? I know several of the usual places have closed.
I was wearing a white RDP shirt that day.Orwood was the first stop. i saw quite a few RDP T-shirts and Fox’s, Roadrunner and Pirates Cove shirts also. Seeing that I looked at the registration on the boats. A lot of AZ boats were there. And a few documented boats as well. (Big Money). The order for the day was, Orwood then Windmill Cove then Tower Park. Not sure where they went after Tower Park because we dropped out after that. I heard 1 boat sunk but not sure who or why. Will I go again hell yes. Do I need a faster boat hell yes. Boat is now in the shop getting its 540 motor.
Wish I could have made it, nice run and always great to see and talk to folks I know and get to know hopefully I got a few more runs in me lots of fun.I was wearing a white RDP shirt that day.
The boat that sink wasn't part of the DLB run. I heard it was a ski boat. It wasn't a performance boat. We were right behind the sheriff heading to the scene, but we peeled off on little potato slough and didn't see the actual accident scene, but several people did see the boat.
It was an awesome day.
