Welp it is a nice day in Hawaii nei!!! So I did all my chores and have not eaten. So why not go for a walk and hit a few watering hole. Hoping that RDP will not need the decoder for the adventure.

We need to calendars a true RDP pub crawl in Hawaii. Who in?

We want the Newport bar crawl
Let’s do it my friend!!!! In the fall once it cools off. Let’s set a date if you like as my travels to the mainland are a bit more limited these days.

Dang it wouldn’t you know it is close me being off island. Keep me posted as I have not made the travel plans yet. Might have to be a mid week deal as I believe I head back for Creul World that weekend. 🤙🏽

Second one is the best of the three. Oh well off to the next one. Looks like the sun might be setting soon. Might have to head to Ala Moana Beach Park to enjoy that before dinner.

I feel like the only person who hasn't been to Hawaii. Hell, my daughter has been there. I'm thinking I may never pull this one off.

And as always, the most appropriate way to finish off the day. All of those on the Rdp cruise no how this ends.

Oh wait to properly close out a good day you have to have a little snack before bed. Nothing better than some traditional Chinese food.

Being that it a long walk home I might have to stop for a Jameson on the rocks somewhere.

Wait next to JITB there is a new brewery.

I was in HNL for work the other day and my usual routine on my layover is to wake up and walk around Diamond head. There are a couple hotels we bounce between in Waikiki, so it’s a nice little walk, totals around 4 miles. The stretch of road that cuts between the beach and the mountain on Diamond Head road is usually one giant homeless encampment. The other day I noticed they were finally doing something about it. The whole stretch of road was covered with garbage trucks, police and volunteers. I never thought the day would come that they would finally take this area back. Hopefully they can cut down on the amount of homeless junkies around there. Someone there told me they got a new police chief who wanted to get rid of the crime in Waikiki.

@MeCasa16 , I pay for an ocean view, the homeless person stays for free right on the beach, but its ok because there is a fishing line out next to the tent. :(

Just sayin. Can't wait to be back.

They are not doing anything to stop it. Sadly they just push them into another neighborhood. Then it is just rise and repeat until the next community starts complaining.

Things have changed a bit since the last time that we visited the restaurant but the food is still amazing.

Dude! That does look legit!! It’s funny for a place that has a LOT of Japanese tourists and residents I always find it difficult to find super good sushi over in Kona. Couple places are pretty good but I would t say amazing. The absolute best is just grab a slab of ahi down at the harbor, shit even the KTA has fresh fish off the boat within 24 hours. Sashimi at the house down by the pool watching sunset. Always awesome.

Haven't been in Hawaii since the 70's, it was great back then. Wife and a female friend of hers are going to Honolulu from Vancouver by Holland America cruise line, leaving next Saturday. They will be hopping islands, also wants to see the Pearl Harbour memorial and visit Diamond head. It's a two weeks cruise and they're hoping there will be some good entertainment for this long crossing times. They did the Alaska cruise last year and they loved it. Her friend is a world traveler, she did Antarctica recently.
My wife said that, this cruise will have cooking shows she's not into that, haha. There is several excursions offered, like whale watching and others, apparently $$$$

Be sure that they look into Diamond Head scheduling. I believe that you have to have a reservation for the day. It was crazy busy last year when we did it. Really that is EVERYTHING tourist these days sadly. Be sure to post up their cruise. Not sure I could do it that long out to sea. Cooking show….sounds like they figured out how to make the people on the cruise cook their own food. 😁
