I was at the depot yesterday looking at doors in the millworks area. The lady was just about done so I asked if they do AC also. She answers yes and sets me up for an estimate. They were able to come out that afternoon. Guy shoes up, starts doing a swap meet sales pitch. As he finally gets down to why he was here, we go out to look at the panel. He decided it needs to be upgraded.(clue was the edison spotter sticker). He seemed very in experienced or simply a doofus. We walk through the yard looking for potential places for the compressor. He makes it inside to look in the attic. He had a bit of trouble manuvering.He says "Oh you don't have anything, we'll have design the whole system". He then tells me there is no room for equipment, but they could do a package and still have room for the ducts. I tell him no to the package system because the look like hell. He says that's all they can do. I asked about mini splits, he says there is no room for the line sets. I told him thanks and pointed at the door. This company also does work for Costco do that leaves them out. I know there is not much room to work, most floor plans like mine in the area have package units. But based on his statements, they could run ducting for a package unit but not mini split line sets. I thought that was odd.
