19, 123, 129, Dispatch and finished out at 80.
I was Camp 2, Camp 9 and the tractors out of the Pacomia Warehouse. My uncle was at 3, 40, 102, 86, at the training center and the first Air Attack Captain out of Barton heliport
Can't believe I lived so close to you!! I was in Saugus

My dad started at the Pacoima Warehouse as a mechanic. I think it was like mid 60's. He then crossed over to firefighter, then paramedic.
I miss KTLA morning news...Chris jogging, Domi and Jeni...SCV is a good place to live.

He and I had to cross paths
Camp nine is a nice ride. I haven't been up there in years. On a good day you can see the ocean.

My dad worked 19's for awhile. Hes been outta several stations but ended up at 62's for 10-15 years. Stations i remember are 101, 102, 19, 64, headquarters for couple years, glendora (cant think of the #), thats about all i can think of now
He kept all his helmet plaques from every station. Told him thats really the only thing i want when he dies.
I've had a crap day so far, and this put a smile on my face. Thank you sir 

... I'm in the Middle, North End of the valley off Copperhill and Seco Cyn... before I moved up here in 98, I used to play up here when I started driving in the Mid 70's ... broke down once in the middle of San Francisqito Canyon we had to hike to the circle K on Seco Cyn, then called tow truck to pull me out, had just enough money for Shakey's bunch-a-lunch on Bouquet & Seco ... years ago Great Memories.... wedge
I know the area well. There is probably a house sitting where you broke down yeas ago. Wow that circle K has been there awhile. BTW LaCocina :thumbsup:thumbsup
Hey Wedge, are you north of copper hill? I live at the top of Seco, in the old mpuntainview houses. And Luvinlife,  on La Cocina, it's my local watering hole. Only a mile walk from my front door.

Grew up in SCV , my aunt lives off of Copperhill but I can't remember the cross street, hard right turn and you go up a steep hill. Moving my mom back there when she is ready. I miss me som Chi Chi's and the old Tim Toms....
my fams on barbaoca off seco....but only superjet knows where the batcave of boats is in scv
Is it a Brainerd Helicopters FireHawk or an L.A. County bird? I know some guys at Brainerd Helicopters.

Chi Chi's is still there But the old Tim Toms is now a Burrito Factory
My Great Uncle ... aka Tio Nacho owned all the property on the N/E corner of Soledad & Sierra Highway, he lived in the little white house behind the LA County Fire Station, the only other thing there back in the 60's was the Trailer Park on Soledad that is still there, going out to my Tio's house from the valley back then was like taking a trip to the country, there was no 14 freeway, it was the old highway 99, aka San Fernando rd. to Sierra Highway
My Family has a lot of history in SCV, my mom tells me, her great uncle was a Ventura County Sheriff stationed in Piru and he mostly patrolled the Valley on Horseback cause most of the roads were dirt trails and un passable when it rained... oh and the 126 was a Rock and Oil Roadway.....wedge
Right on, that's cool ! That place has changed quite a bit over the years... I'd get lost now if it wasn't for smart phones
Half the time there's streets that weren't their before
