I like this one. Can I call first in line when you sell in 3 months or is it still too soon?

Interesting.... I've never seen a b+ with a rear facing entry like that.

You have issues! And even bigger issues if you are working on shit at a rest stop!!

Always like watching your projects and ideas.

the big tube tv was mounted with plumbers strap..banging and squeaking , thought it was gonna just fall out

next part of the 2FF mod, insulating the B+ over hang.... I use foam king duct wrap... it's 1/4'' foam with a heavy layer of foil.....put it on with a weenie roller and it's there forever...this will really make a big difference with cooling and heating

the other thing I did was went on the rec-pro web site,,, new leather jack knife sofa, didn't like the green cloth, and it's too wide to walk through with it down...also ordered from there, all new led light fixtures...

I need to do this on my rig. There's no insulation at all whatsoever on the front fiberglass cap and that bitch RADIATES heat through the overhead console.

2FF I think I found the Holy Grail of diesel pushers...2002 Country Coach 32' Inrigue. 370HP Cummins ISL motor. Coach has 17,440 miles on it. After owning 42' Foretravel for 3 years...I'm ready to downsize. Gotta pick it up in San Rafael CA in the next couple weeks and I gave the bride the right to choose...so if she hates it..up for sale it will be..but I hope not...

I've ridden in a few Country Coaches. The Dynamax Chassis is very nice and very well engineered and constructed. Another thing is the majority of Country Coaches chassis is they are side radiator. This places the entire driveline/engine/trans/differential further back in the coach (versus rear radiator). Longer wheelbase and thus more stability and better weight balance front to back...

CC's have sound handling and very nice ride. Not like Freightliners at all...

I haven't driven one...I'm spoiled with the Foretravel..beautiful build quality and ride is superb. Can't find the shorter FT's and this popped up and was not for sale..I'll be driving from CA to ID so I will have time behind the wheel. I suspect the shorter WB will affect driving standards..so I'm OK with that.

lay it on me Steve....I'm all ears..
the one I was going to buy porpoise'd like a mo fo… went from one off ramp to the other and turned around...could have been the shocks, but it only had 17k miles...a friend of mine said the one he had did the same thing...also, they measure the same as the 34' alpine...but shorter wheel base.... I think you are going from a dream coach to a night mare....but who knows... the tiffen phaeton would be a bettr coach....36' though... I hunted , traveled... and searched for ever to find the alpine...10's of thousands latter... I sold it because of fear from the vansco….never had a problem.... but the thought ws always there..

I appreciate it Steve...yes the Foretravel is a dream coach...Love it on the road . Problems have been length...I can't find adequate storage for it...I bought a storage condo knowing it wouldn't fit but it was the biggest they offered. I'm finding that most of our trips are short 3-4 day deals..not retired yet..(Dec) and we are not going to go for months at a time..The drive back will tell me all I got to know..

Had you installed the 2FF "Whamo Plate," all would have been remedied. :D

I just bought a new to me 2014 Tiffin Phaeton and will have my "Holy Grail #2" 2001 Alpine Coach 34' for sale some time when I get back from Powell with the new to me moho. We spent the last few days moving stuff from one to the other.

one of the first things was I changed out the little round plastic ac grilles to residential metal 4x10...cools way better and cuts the noise down.. View attachment 781811

Steve, your mods are great. Always enjoy all your content. I have a couple of questions.

When you install the 4x10’s, do you cut round holes to square or just leave them alone? Also, where I circled in red, do you leave that main register closed, open or half way? On the 4x10, do you make/install a gasket between the register and the rv ceiling surface?

I make a template that's square , the size of the new reg,... the round parts are just a tad larger so I split the difference...I don't open the chill grill…. it just dumps all the air in one place.... for ac to work proper you need good air exchange...if you want more air where you are sitting you can close the other vents.... but then you get hot spots in the rv...the temp will get down colder when every thing is cooled off... what I do when I first start to cool down is open all the cabinets and open the roof vent, that lets the hot air out...at that point I use chill grille , you cant do that for long as what happens is you start sucking the hot air from out side to replace the air that goes out the vent....but most of the time, the air in the rv that's setting in the sun is hotter than the out side...

Thanks going to do this mod to mine.

I dont think it's ragging on him, more like disbelief that you can go thru that many new (or used) vehicles a year, it would be a full time job buying, selling and trading lol. I think it's bad ass, I just can't figure out how to get to that level of bad-arsery myself!

I don’t think it is ragging on him...it is like jet bote jokes, and Parker is closed (even though they have lots of room for thousands of more boaters every weekend) it is part of RDP.

She's coming together slow...lots of work..the floor and ceiling took forever to do... nothing square and no where to measure from..I ordered the same headliner material, so I have to wait for it to cover before I can fasten in the piece..also, I got a 32'' flat led, and dvd player...

one of the big problems with these little rvs is storage...there never seems to be a place designated for bedding... pillows ,sheets, blankets and such...so my plan is to make two big cubby holes, and make the flat tv open to storage behind it...quite the task,as there is no square place to measure from....I hope I hget the headliner material today, kinda dead in the water because the headliner has to in to be able to do the walls and build a tv cabinet.....I super insulated every thing, and hopefully got rid of all the rattles...

what I do first, is take a temp reading....set the unit at 65, then take all the vents off and run it for a while.check temp with heat gun..sometime there are not enough vents from the start...I then take a template and mark and cut holes... there are two types, 2 way and 3 way...

How do you seal the ducting to the vents? I have never removed mine but this sounds like a great upgrade! More Tech Steve!

the vents are made to go on floors, walls and ceilings....the duct is a tunnel in the foam roof.... no seal needed... you''l see when you take one out...
