A couple of years ago, my wife was tired of driving an SUV and wanted a Minivan...cause all the Moms drive Minivans now. :( With reluctance we got rid of your Suburban and got a VW Routan. I nicknamed it Weenie and the name stuck. I never drove Weenie unless I had to. Weenie has been the biggest POS I have ever owned. In the 30,000 miles we put on that thing it had brakes and rotors replaced 6 times...pretty much every time it went in for an oil change. Plus Weenie left her stranded 3 times this Summer and had to be towed to the dealership. They never could find anything wrong with it.

Well we finally traded Weenie in on a Chevy Tahoe this weekend. I didn't feel right selling Weenie to some poor Sap, so we traded it in. The Tahoe is nothing special, but I am glad to have a car I don't mind driving and to finally have Weenie out of my life. Most of my Trucks / SUV's have either been lifted or lowered. I am just going to leave this one stock...maybe put some chrome wheels on it when it needs new tires.

The Old Suburban...I loved this rig and It would have been payed off by now.

Believe it or not, the mini van was very nice inside. VW did a nice job on the interior. The seats, steering wheel, and stereo were all awesome. It had brushed stainless looking stuff instead of wood. Looked great inside....but that is where my compliments on that vehicle end. LOL.

The license plate frame on our Yukon xl says "mini van on steroids". A lot of people get a kick out of it.

The reason it was a POS is because VW only did the interior, it was a rebranded Dodge Caravan.

I never knew this. Interesting.

With some rebranding its obvious. I never caught onto this one but I guess I was never looking. I would think VW of all car companies would not do shit like that.

Wow, never knew that. Looking back at the picture you can totally see the lines/design of a Dodge Caravan. That's pretty surprising.

I was wondering how VW would have produced a POS, they have a solid reputation, I can't believe they are risking their reputation selling these things with their name plate on them......

Oh yeah, congratulations on your Tahoe.
Love the color combination!

I had a Dodge once - never again. You gotta know when to cut your losses.
Excellent choice.

I had the same problem when I was looking for my truck - I wanted gray leather, but everything out here had black. What is strange is when you get out of the SoCal area black is the one that's hard to find, everyone has tan and gray. I ended up ordering mine so I could get all the options I wanted on the same truck.

Congrats on the new ride! Love our LTZ Tahoe 4x2 as well. Actually used it to launch the boat last trip and was very impressed. Jack Smith is very steep and this thing had no issues. We have always used the Duramax, but will start using this more. In fact we will be out this weekend with it.

Lets just hope they don't try and rebrand a Chrysler 300 and call it a Bentley :D

The kids call the 300 a BFM: Bentley For a Minute.
First glance people think it's a Bentley,,, For a Minute.

Seems anything Chrysler has weak brakes. Not a Chrysler strong point on any of their vehicles.
Chrysler owners we know seem to always been needing brakes, and it seems like they just put brakes on them.
