My latest creation...

tr483.org

Thoughts?

It's still a work in progress, but I want to have all the info there than any new parent/scout would need. If you find anything to be missing, please let me know.

Thanks!

:)

That's cool. Are you having having photos of the kids behind a firewall? That's what they did with us, some people were not happy with their kids photos being on the internet. I don't think there is a hard rule about it, though it wouldn't surprise me, there are hard rules for everything in Scouts. LOL...

I am a BSA climbing instructor. Our Troop builds a 16' tower for the events and camporees. It's pretty fun.

Great job. I like the way it flows. You have a good size Troop. We are around 90 Scouts and a bunch of dedicated parents and Leaders. Our Scoutmaster has been with us over 15 years. His son aged out around 13 years ago. We are http://www.troop54whittier.org/

Where was your shooting trip?

We do the shooting sports weekend out by Dagget. I'd have to PM you the GPS cords. It's well hidden in the middle of no where! We do a different event for the older Scouts in Burrow Canyon as well, but that is just a day trip.

90 is HUGE!! Thanks and good luck!!

HI Joe,

We us mytroop SOAR software http://www.claremont402.mytroop.us/

Some benefits...the software complies with BSA standards of privacy, works with the advancement software, has separate sections for each patrol, lots of tools to register for events, (paypal, etc).

Yours looks really nice, but the privacy is an issue...

That's pretty locked down. Shesh!

Like I said, at out next committee meeting, we will discuss all the privacy issues. What I built is Very similar to what we had before, and nobody complained.

I looked into the software we use for advancement tracking, but they wanted a pretty steep price, on a monthly basis, to use all of their features. :(

What I built cost us nothing, cause it's on the existing church server that they already pay for. :)
