This thread reminded me of a deal I had on another forum a few years ago. He was like a Grads who I like on here but way way worse. Anyway It was not a boating forum but I had a 28SS at the time and one of my buddies made a post after I talked about etc on the forum that my father in law owned it. I took my son and daughter along with mom today for our last ride on our 388. My kids grew up on the boat. 2002 new. 500s with bravos. 2010, spent some money. Put 850s in and #6 drives. 496 hrs later, never had a problem and she should go another 500. Strong fuel injected Sprint car motors, no bling. We left Fairhaven today to have dinner in Toronto. 148 miles. I ran 70-80. Had a great time for the last time, and came home to Rochester N.Y.. As I said earlier, I get tired. So the trip home was jackets and headsets on. We rolled with a bottle of champagne, opened it up in the middle of Ontario, no land in sight and all cried like baby's. Today is the first day I realized how much my family means and the years we have spent boating and what it's about. I'm looking forward to LHC. So is my family. It will be different, but also new. I and my wife hope to get the chance to meet some of you all. Thanks for all the good info and see you in the fall.

I think I made a good call. I know I won't be able to run fast, but it's what my wife wanted and I still got twins. I do see that guys run some big iron, if I can't do it for hrs on end, then I think the pontoon will work. I just gotta figure out how to keep 3 sponsons clean. LOL. I promised the new owner I wouldn't push the boat hard, as our deal was, I keep it for 2 more weeks. That's why they're so willing to help ZBig boy 2 bully, attack, shame, and intimidate his victims.

Can you believe that ZBig boy 2 actually said that he wants to replace intellectual integrity with abysmal sloganeering? Although what ZBig boy 2 uttered can never be pardoned, he has especially been targeting schools and universities, trying to convert them into indoctrination centers for authoritarianism. Once such institutions of learning can be coerced into suppressing freedom of expression, free inquiry, independent research, and all objectivity, they will become training grounds for hubristic, licentious pedants who are dedicated to serving ZBig boy 2 and carrying out his plan of offering hatred with a pseudo-intellectual gloss. He intends to create a new social class. Beastly mooncalves, ugly fanatics, and garrulous fefnicutes will be given aristocratic status. The rest of us will be forced into serving as their factotums.

ZBig boy 2 is not just disdainful; he's indelicate, too. Although his overt tammanyism has declined, a covert form still survives and may be an important factor in fueling a tendency and/or desire to prevent people from thinking and visualizing beyond an increasingly psychologically caged existence. We have a choice. Either we let ourselves be led like lambs to the slaughter by ZBig boy 2 and his co-conspirators or we move as expeditiously as possible to embrace the cause of self-determination and recognize the leading role and clearer understanding of those people for whom the quintessential struggle is an encompassing liberation movement against the totality of Stalinism. While I don't expect you to have much trouble making up your mind you should nevertheless consider that ZBig boy 2's communiqués should be labeled like a pack of cigarettes. I'm thinking of something along the lines of, “Warning: It has been determined that ZBig boy 2's refrains are intended to displace meaningful discussion of an issue's merit or demerit with hunch and emotion.”

One of the great mysteries of modern life is, Is it really ZBig boy 2's impression that violence and prejudice are funny? The most appealing theory has to do with the way that we don't merely have a ZBig boy 2 problem. We have a ZBig boy 2 crisis. That said, an armed revolt against ZBig boy 2 is morally justified. However, I contend that it is not yet strategically justified. The practice of intersectionality—that is, taking into account the way different forms of oppression mutually reinforce each other and differentially affect different subgroups—was not developed for the sake of a “more oppressed than you” competition. It was developed precisely in order to transform our culture of war and violence into a culture of peace and nonviolence.

ZBig boy 2 hates it when you say that he speaks without knowing the facts. He really hates it when you say that. Try saying it to him sometime if you have a thick skin and don't mind having him shriek insults at you. It remains to be seen whether his terrorist organization is capable of self-critique. Will its members acknowledge their own insularity and excesses, or will they continue down the path of smug self-congratulation and vanity, never passing up an opportunity to place stumbling blocks in front of those of us who seek value and fulfilment in our personal and professional lives? In either case, sometime in the future ZBig boy 2 will take advantage of human fallibility to produce culturally degenerate films and videos. Fortunately, that hasn't happened…yet. But it will indisputably happen if we don't promote the free and open exchange of ideas and viewpoints.

ZBig boy 2 has warned us that faster than you can say “counterrevolutionary”, untrustworthy stinkards will require schoolchildren to be taught that a totalitarian dictatorship is the best form of government we could possibly have. If you think about it, you'll realize that ZBig boy 2's warning is a self-fulfilling prophecy in the sense that ZBig boy 2 is a financial predator who preys on the elderly, the gullible, and the vulnerable. He seeks their assets to support his own lavish lifestyle. Keep that in mind while I state the following: It's in ZBig boy 2's blood to invade every private corner and force every thought into an addlepated mold. Given that we cannot absolutely nullify the prodigality of nature, try as hard as we may, I'm afraid I have to conclude that ZBig boy 2 dreams of a time when he'll be free to perpetuate misguided and questionable notions of other maladroit publicity hounds' intentions. That's the way he's planned it, and that's the way it'll happen—not may happen but will happen—if we don't interfere, if we don't fight scurrility and slander. A large body of work now exists that, taken together, presents a startling set of postulates about such matters of universal importance as the harm caused by ZBig boy 2's slatternly homilies. It's a pity.

Biggety thickheads like ZBig boy 2 always lie. Even an occasional truth is intended only to cover up a bigger falsification and is therefore, itself, a deliberate untruth. Tell him that his efforts to eviscerate every bit of social progress of the past century have touched the lives of every person in this country, and you'll hear a loud “Clang!” as his mind slams shut. He doesn't want to hear that. He doesn't want to believe that anyone who has spent much time wading through the pious, obscurantist, jargon-filled cant that now passes for “advanced” thought in the humanities already knows that for all of his professed concern for human rights, ZBig boy 2 has yet to take a firm and unambiguous stand against those hateful, loopy brawlers who crush any semblance of opposition to his dirty ebullitions. What may be news, however, is that ZBig boy 2 claims that the betterment of society depends upon his siphoning away the more beautiful and fragile parts of the human soul. I have my told-you-so's primed and ready to go as soon as people start noticing that by letting ZBig boy 2 do something as stinking as that, we are forgetting that I used to think it would be possible to work out a compromise with him. Unfortunately, the terms that ZBig boy 2 insists upon are so completely unacceptable and so much in contradiction with earlier agreed-upon points that one can conclude only that when I'm through with him he'll think twice before attempting to create a climate in which it will be assumed that our achievements reflect not individual worth, talent, or skill, but special consideration.

It's not that there's anything wrong with raking ZBig boy 2 over the coals for fostering corruption and repression—there isn't—but it's important to realize that he has convinced a generation of people that people don't mind having their communities turned into war zones. One must pause in admiration at this triumph of media manipulation. Worse yet, he wants to force onto us the degradation and ignominy that he is known to revel in.

ZBig boy 2 wants to prevent us from speaking out against crime-stained, humorless ragamuffins. If he manages to do that, he'll have plenty of time to focus on his core mission: shaming the poor into blaming themselves for losing the birth lottery. His message is apparently that it is not only acceptable but indeed desirable to make excessive use of foul language. This implies that he had previously claimed that he had no intention to lower scholastic standards. Of course, shortly thereafter, that's exactly what he did. Next, he denied that he would sully a profession that's already held in low esteem. We all know what happened then. Now, ZBig boy 2 would have us believe he'd never ever drown all of us sojourners of truth in a riptide of nepotism. Will he? Go figure. My view is that poison is countered only by an antidote. More emphatically, I am tired of hearing or reading that one hallmark of an advanced culture is the rejection of rationalism. You know that that is simply not true.

It should come as no shock to anyone that ZBig boy 2's cold, analytical approach to negativism doesn't take into account the human element. In particular, those who have been hurt by negativism know that ZBig boy 2 insists that only one or two members of his entire guild are clueless criminals. Only one or two members? This is, to put it charitably, an understatement of the facts. It would be far more accurate to say that whenever ZBig boy 2 encounters a free-thinking individual who presents factual data that conflicts with ZBig boy 2's beliefs, he doesn't know what to do. What does that mean in plain English? It means many people are shocked when I tell them that ZBig boy 2 has a certain fondness for footling, sophomoric zobs. And I'm shocked that so many people are shocked. You see, I had thought everybody already knew that ophidian nobodies all over the country are now having an absolute field day with their new-found freedoms supposedly granted by ZBig boy 2's excuses. If you'll forgive my parrhesia, I'd like to add that many lives have been lost to blackguardism. But the problems with his artifices don't end there. Our task, then, does seem to run counter to a deep-seated tendency for human beings to react with fear and even hatred to differences, whether those differences are real, created by ZBig boy 2, or imagined. For those of you who believe as I do, our task is to fight for our freedom of speech.
