We dodged it here in the Keys but IMO if you fail to prepare the best you can or just ignore the warnings you are a dumbass. For Christs sake it’s a big storm with plenty of advance notice. Tornados are another thing all together. Be safe guys and help the elderly or neighbors best you can.

This guy has been predicting this for at least a week. Hope you guys are staying safe and as dry as possible

Thanks Tom 🙏 Our property down in Fort Myers is flooded a bit but house here is fine so far. Family in the Keys are good too. Lots of heavy downpours on and off but it’s really just getting started up here. We have been under severe flood and tornado watch all day but are well prepared. Have some friends that are actually on their way over right now to stay with their kiddos and dogs until it passes. Pics from FM Beach but the water has subsided a bit.

Cindy says to keep us in the loop T.
Fire just got going down in Marysville...right next to the city limits.

Hopefully all you end up with is just lots of rain.

You probably are similar in warnings as LuckyStrike. He is sort of N Fort Meyers.

Oh no, you guys stay safe too! Like I said, I went from fire season to hurricane season. 🙄 Just got another notification that we are on tornado watch again for the next 10 hours. Tomorrow should be the worst according to the forecast. But, just like fires it can change in a heartbeat. Will keep you posted, thank you.

I've been keeping an eye on this. Flying out of Vegas tomorrow morning headed to Orlando and will be in Palm Coast Tuesday morning. I wouldn't mind seeing a little rain, been really dry hear in Bullhead.

We are in Nokomis. I am pretty tired of the rain. Still coming down pretty good this morning. Power was out for about 2 hours in the middle of the night. Wasn't a problem, but I may have to put in a whole home gernerator. I had decided against it as we are in a new community and everything is underground. I know getting the power to the community involves above ground wires.

This morning I will go to our other place in North Sarasota to check it out along with our freinds places that are snowbirds.

Glad you are all ok.

Cudjoe Key. MM23 Oceanside on canal about .5 miles from open water, so somewhat protected.

From the east side of the State, Melbourne, Cocoa Beach area. We need the rain. This area is about 40 inches below normal for rainfall so far this year. Dry as hell. Steady rain currently, no wind to speak of.

This was a couple of blocks away from our place where the ICW surged over the banks. We were coming back from hunting for Megalodon teeth inland.

Glad you are ok as well. My cousin lives in Nokomis too. They own Addy’s Villas and got some wind & flood damage but nothing major. I am very happy that we installed a whole house generator when we moved here. We lost power for about three hours during hurricane Ian, and a couple of hours this morning a few times. Thank God for the generator. Both times this morning were from downed trees in the area and I am really surprised this one has not come down yet. If it does it will hit the empty lot next to us and take out a powerline.

I would love to find a couple of those, I can buy them but it's always better to find it that way there's an adventure behind the tooth.

Yessir! It's just as fun to look for caves or old settlements in the desert.
