We just got a used 2011 RZRs 800 and it's time to fill her up. Never asked the guy we bought it from what octane he uses.. Any suggestions?

For the 5 gallons, why wouldn't you just run 91?

I dunno :p
I didn't want to mess it up if that was too rich.
I figured someone here would know the answer

I would run 91..

FYI got the Teryx running.. Got a little electrical problem but it will be sorted quickly. (I hope) Looking forward to doing some offroading if you're up to it!

We still have our 800 owners manual and it says 87 octane.
We always ran 91 anyway because most our off roads toys call for 91.

I've never put premium in mine. If it doesn't call for premium, it will do nothing for you.

Run what the manuel says. Unless it has engine mods or ecu mods. Premium is a waste in unmodified SxS's. Everything today burns clean. Who knows u could end up with a soot prob like people do on there boats.

Because higher octane in a stock, low compression motor that's designed to run on 87, gains you no real peace of mind by running 91.

I understand how octane works. Higher octane slows down detonation and these things are held wide open for long periods of time.

If mine was stock it probably wouldn't matter...once you add timing and rpm,etc...it dosent hurt imo

So when the people that engineered it, tested it, warranty it and make it, say to use 87, exactly what is the peace of mind from running 91?

All top tier fuels use about the same detergent and if it's not pinging then what am I missing? http://www.toptiergas.com/

Great looking S BTW.
