Hello from Vancouver,Bc.Coming to Havasu for Expo show and to hangout

Hello Everybody,
I would like to introduce myself,I'm John and my wife is Tannis and we live in Vancouver,British Columbia,we have a Howard SDS Deckboat that we use on Shuswap Lake in the interior of BC.

I have been lurking for a few years on RDP and have found it very entertaining at times,we have decided to make a last minute trip to come down and check out the Sand and Water Expo.

So a couple things we would like to know,is there a hotel or motel within walking distance to the expo show,we want to be able to enjoy the beer gardens and not have to worry about driving. If any RDP 'ers are attending the show we would like to meet if possible for some drinks or food and get some insight about coming down for Desert Storm 2016,hotels,moorage and launching areas and restaurants.

Basically,any info on places to go or see in the area would be appreciated,we will be down for a week.We would be more than happy to exchange information for beverages. ( alcohol)

The Hampton inn and Motel 6 are both within walking distance to the location of the show if you would like to walk.

There are also daily rentals available at Kings View condos if you are looking for a little larger place with 2 bedrooms and full kitchen facilities.

There is also the Heat Hotel and London Bridge resort which are both a short 10 minute walk to the show.......other then that we have a number of low priced cab services available the most notable is the "Five dollar Holler" and the name pretty much says it all.......although they raised their price to $6 a few years ago

Welcome to the site neighbour.:thumbup: I've been in Havasu a few times, you'll enjoy your stay there.The Hampton INN is nice and more reasonable than the others mentioned.Have you ever been out on your Howard locally or just around the Okanagan?
I'm contemplating to drag my boat for Desert Storm next year, are you? Stayed at the Islander in a MOHO and liked it there, launch ramp is a bonus.:thumbup:If you want give me a call on my cell; 604-910 8021 maybe get together to discuss.Store my boat at California Marine in Richmond, there's a nice pub there at Shelter Island Marina.

Shuswap is a beautiful lake. I have a friend with a house there on the lake before Sorrento if you're heading east from Kamloops.

We're from Vancouver Island and own a home down here in Havasu, we've been coming to Havasu boating for 15 years or more. Welcome to paradise, you'll love this place even though it's November!!
We'll be at the Show today and then hitting the water with our Nordic 28SS in the afternoon. We'll be at the Nordic display around noon, just ask Thane from Nordic to introduce us or he will give you our number. Thane's also from BC.
Desert Storm is a MUST for any performance boater. Hope to see you at the Show today or if you see a Nordic 28SS in the Channel pop over for a cocktail.
