Anyone have one that they recommend? seems to be tons of options. Any pro's / cons?

Looking for one for the wife.... and would prefer the basket style chairs like below.

Those were from Costco or Sams. Other than farting in them, they're not heated though.

I bought my wife one last year for Christmas, it’s pretty cools as it does keep your backside warm when you’re sitting by a campfire in the winter. It’s not cool enough that I’d buy myself one also, but happy wife, happy life. This one folds up but still takes up some space in the motorhome, those big ones like you posted don’t get very small for storage.

Stand behind chair and grab front of armrest and pull in. It’s actually the easiest to fold of any camping chair we own.
It folds up easily; it's just bulky. I end up wrapping mine up with a bungee cord so I can fit it into one of my jockey boxes.

Odd you should ask. Wife and i just picked this one up for her parents at the dunes. They love it and said it is actually really warm.

I bought my wife a stupid heated chair, Pain in the ass. Bulky, and she could never remember to grab the battery pack and charge it. So it became a bulky non heated chair. We ended up just getting a rocking chair and a propane heater.

The one I have is similar to white works. Pretty comfy, every time I get up someone steals it to warm up.

Been doing coals for as long as I can remember. But someone has to keep loading under chair, and drunks tend to get tired of loading so at some point you get a pile and a burnt chair or ass or jacket hanging over sides gets nice burnt ends. Every year Michelle gets me new jacket for Xmas and every year I destroy it the following week in glamis new years 😂

A few coals from the fire, under the chair with a shovel works wonders.
You have to be careful doing this if you have dogs walking around. They have been known to step on hot coals especially when you have to move the chairs because someone adds a ton of wood to fire. We used to put coals in disposable chafing trays under chairs but that became a PIA.

I still have a Troy Lee Designs desert jacket I got at the SSSS ages ago.

It might have one or two holes in it though.

I've had to throw a couple pair of UGG boots away though. It's surprising how fast the bottoms melt!

🤣

CON- Pain in the ass to fold up and store!!
I have 2 of those. They are so big, I don't even bother trying to put them back in the bag, and they can't live with the other folding camp chairs in general population. They get their own motorhome compartment. HUGE

One of them blew into the fire at night last trip....so now we have ONE of these 🤣

We have two of these chairs, they are bulky but really comfy, only thing I dont like is they dont have drink holders....that being said, we dont put these around the campfire, we have cheap walmart chairs that we use by the fire and just replace them as needed....we do the coals under the chairs, my son calls it Toasty Buns...lol

That’s funny you say that. I just melted the bottoms of my Uggs last weekend. I’m so bummed!

I have a heated vest and love it! It can be used for more than just around the fire.

Hot coals...go be a pussy somewhere else. Tell me you aren't one of those who has a coronary every time the fire pops and a spark shoots out and lands in your lap.

Propane fires are for guys who wear Uggs. So are fires in washing machine tubs.

Is your group talking about going to billboards again NY? Talked to my bro and he said there hasn’t been much chatter on it yet.

Pussy?

We camp in the upper desert during riding season. Where you wake up to snow on the ground in the morning?

Come along sometime. I wanna see you around the campfire, in your flip flops, when it's 30 degrees at night!

Id pay good money to see that shit!

🤣🤣🤣

Yeah, I looked it up. It's French for "Guy who wears Uggs." 😄

We'll get together at some point, although camping where there is snow on the ground and 30* at the fire at night doesn't sound terribly enjoyable. I might wear flip flops at the fire just to spite you though...and if you're paying good money.

Glamis means I'm in my typical year-round attire of shorts and flip flops. But truth be told, I do usually wear shoes when I drive the Ultra 4 (which is never Glamis) because the aluminum floor with the stainless exhaust running under it gets a little toasty.

And does your dash say 7 MPH at 2900? You should really slow down. What's the top speed on that thing, like 28? 😂

Wife got me a jacket from these guys a couple years ago for Christmas.
I always make dang sure that it goes in the 5th wheel if we take a trip someplace in fall or winter.
I have quite a bit of metal in my spine, and lots of accompanying problems. When my back gets cold I am miserable.
These are decent products, but I suggest ordering a size larger than you would normally wear. The battery, when on low, will last a couple hours minimum. I crank it up to get it warm then put it back on low.

I still shovel the coals under the chair, I have a big folding recliner we got from camping world years ago we still take camping, and til they come up with a giant recliner with heat, I ain't giving it up.
I will just wear my jacket. and nip on a flask of Single Barrel if it gets real bad,,,:)
I've burnt a few tennis shoe soles on the old campfire, and seen the soles of my old Danners smoke once or twice..
Gotta watch fer the old hot foot...

Coals under the chair feel extremely nice, but it gets pretty cold once they cool down. Heated jackets are pretty nice, but now I want to try out a heated chair. I hate being cold.

Bought one for the wife last year. It works well as a heated chair but she has a bad back and it’s not the most comfortable. She rotates between the heated chair and the big bulky padded barrel chair. If I had to do it again I’d buy the heated vest or jacket.

You've never heard of low range??

You've never camped or off roaded in the snow??

You poor sheltered soul.

You don't get out much do ya?

I bet you don't even know where this is?

No cheating. Don't Google it! 😁

You've heard of elf of a shelf? That's Joe going slow. There's my corny joke for the week.

I have camped and off-roaded in the snow.

You can have that shit. Snow and I do not get along.

The only reason I'm a poor soul is I'm friends with you.

Can't tell where that is. Near the ocean, maybe? I want to say Oregon dunes, but that's a long way to travel at 7 MPH.
