Shouldn’t have taken Vance to break the tie. Will be interesting to see how many ties need to be broken. Wonder if the same 3 will dissent or if they’ll switch it up.

Mitch McConnell should have been mentally discharged from his seat a year ago!! A real anti American piece of shit!!! The others including the dems don't want to stop the gravey train and don't give two shits about American taxpayers. Yeah I know I sound like a broken record, I read the news late last night too excited to sleep👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

can anyone give me the "i've been too busy to keep up on all of this" synopsis of this guy?
Accused of excessive drinking on the job and at home. Cheated on wife #1 with wife #2. Cheated on wife #2 with wife #3. Ran 2 organizations into huge debts. 🤦‍♂️

He did say if he was confirmed he wouldn't drink at all since it was a 24/7 position. CHEERS!! 🍻🤣

Are they saying he’s over-qualified?

On the debt he stayed until all debts were paid.

As usual it's never about policy or the truth.
🤔

Along with VFF, Hegseth also had been president of Concerned Veterans of America. According to the article "Pete Hegseth's Secret History" in The New Yorker magazine: "A trail of documents, corroborated by the accounts of former colleagues, indicates that Hegseth was forced to step down by both of the two nonprofit advocacy groups that he ran—Veterans for Freedom and Concerned Veterans for America—in the face of serious allegations of financial mismanagement, sexual impropriety, and personal misconduct."[28] According to one report by a whistleblower, Hegseth was accused of having "treated the organization funds like they were a personal expense account".[28]

In 2012, Hegseth formed the political action committee MN PAC.[25] An APM Reports analysis found that while Hegseth ran the MN PAC political action committee, one-third of its $15,000 in funds were spent on Christmas parties for families and friends. Campaign finance laws in Minnesota do not prohibit such spending. Less than half of the PAC's resources were spent on candidates, and as of March 2018, the PAC had closed its account with the state board.[25]

I will fully admit I never thought he would be confirmed. I want him but I didn't think he had a chance

I thought Trump nominated him knowing full well he would take the majority of the press and political fight from the Democrats. I figured it was a tactic for them to focus on him so Trump could get everyone else in with less of a fight.

Maybe it was a tactic too but the more he spoke and fought for the position the more I liked him and the more the public liked him.

The confusing thing for me is no matter if it is Local, State, Or Federal if there is ANY "SHIT" in your closet it will be coming out to see and "HASH" over. There is no perfect person, but it becomes a matter of How Bad do you want this position, as "DAMN" could be very embarrassing for you and your loved ones. My biggest concern is "IF" the President nominates you, and if you do not know ALL the Dirty Little Secrets beforehand, you are "Blindsided" in an Ugly Nominating Process.

Lol... I've had the same thoughts about Patel. I kinda figure he was a throw away that the dem party could call a win.

This thread shows how polarized we are as a nation.

Here we have a candidate with all the qualities of a Democrat and they still don't like him
Right... When you champion a President cheating on his wife in the oval office, then another one smoking crack and sucking dick, how do you even begin to try and disqualify a guy who cheated and has been married 3 times and likes/d to drink.

The play book is so obvious it's really sad at this point. I imagine every male candidate will be accused of some kind of sexual misconduct at this point. Maybe Trump should open up the list of all the payouts the government has been hiding to settle lawsuits brought against our elected officials for the same kind of allegations.
