I cant feel the back of my left arm or my pinky and ring finger. My cortizone shot must be wearing off again. I wish I had money saved to pay bills while recovering from a rebuild. This shit sucks ass. :grumble:

I sincerely hope you are able to find a way to get some sort of permanent relief/fix going.
There is nothing quite like this kinda stuff...ya got to live it to really understand it.
If you have access to a pool spend some time floating around with a ski vest on, the decompression is a great source of relief, however temporary.
Some of my old symptoms have been stopping by for a visit now and then, and there is not a dang thing they can do for me, all the fixes are already in.

2 cortizone and one pain med coctail and im 17 sheets to the wind. So bad I had to have my wife and son come and get me. I should be good for another 4 months :grumble:

How often do they allow you cortisone? My Doc told me after the 3rd he wouldn't do another one. He told me next was surgery.

They want to cut me real bad but I wont/cant let them just yet. The shots are not near as dangerous as the pills. Do not ever take the pill version

I have the exact same situation. Mine is C5 and 6 herniated discs and 3 shots to get any relief at all. I have the pain in my left arm and can not feel 2 end fingers on my left hand.

Sorry to hear about your medical problems. I have been putting off surgery also for as long as I can.

Going through the same situation. fell off the back of my work truck. no problem for nearly two months. then late one friday night complete numbness on my left arm extreme pain. thought it would go away. by the end of that weekend it just got worse. headed to emergancy. they did a ct scan found issues in cervix. fallowed up with primary doc. (still in pain he put me on prednisone releived the pain but arm was still numb. now going trough therapy still numb and after being cut off of the prednisone the pain came back. now i will be going to see pays med on friday. still having to work. and did not claim workers comp. could lose my position after 23 years.on top of all of this i'm left handed. now i take one diazepam and two hydrocodon in the morning and at night. the prednisone was some nasty crap. weight gain and other issues. not sure whats next.

I got one Tuesday. It was a cocktail of a Steroid and anti-inflammatory. Got the tingling out of my foot but I'm sore as hell right now from the chiropractor working on me on Wednesday.
