I notice that this last weekend. Was thinking its public land and was assuming it’s free winter living vs staying in a campground. But not sure. Sure is a lot of them.

Looks like Havasu may turn into a Quartsite.

On the north end of town there is some government land people camp out at. I think they just have to move every 2 weeks or so.

TRY to book an appointment with your doctor .

I learned the third year living here , I book all my doctor and dentist appointments for the year .

I then "have leverage" if an unexpected problem comes up .

"so many snowbirds, so little freezer space" .............

I will be one of them in February for the Fireworks Show. Can’t find any parks or campgrounds with space, so we will see where I drop the trailer that weekend.

I own a lot on that side of town, literally across 95 from Sara Park. Might be able to help you out.

The deal is they have to move every 14 days or pay, and they must move more than 35 miles I believe. There was a video posted not long ago... I'll look for it. I don't like it, looks like a fucking homeless shit hole. Half of the motor homes are junk. The business's in town say they steal everything they can. I've heard they buy shit at Lowes, like tables and chairs and then return it after the 3 month stay.

Let’s chat about that. IMO that would be perfect if allowed.
Your post above nailed it. While most folks are safe, sure looks like crap if you ask me. I think it should be 7 days then you need to move.

Current BLM camping rule
14 days before having to move at least 25 miles from your original spot. You may not return to that original area for 28 days.

Last weekend I noticed a large group set up just over the river in the south side of the 40 prior to the truck check thing going eastbound. Huge group of campers.

They usually set before the fireworks testing/shows.

Wonder if that was associated with the Topock off road poker run.

Well?
If they're camping in the washes there's a chance the problem just...washes away, one day.

There was a large group of them on the west side of the 95 (between the 95 and the lake) north of town in one of the washes that we ran through on the Desert Tromp poker run last weekend. Middle of no where...thought that it was weird...

That's called the Parker experience. It's a mobile show for all the people who can't make it to the actual town of Parker !

Actually the land just north of town and directly across from SARA park is NOT BLM land (That starts down by Standard Wash and DOES have the 14 day limits). This land is owned by the AZ State Trust and can be used for free as long as you purchase an annual permit for $20 (get it online). The usage is limited to a maximum of 30 days a year but it is NOT highly regulated.

We camped across from SARA park last year for the Fireworks with a group of 6 others and got to know some of the "Locals" there. Apparently the State patrols this area mostly looking for the permits but does not move people along unless they start to look like squatters. We met one fella there last year "Charley" that lives in his fifth wheel now and travels ever since his wife of 40 years died a couple of years ago. Super guy and I stop in to see him every now and then just to make sure he's doing OK, but he tells me that as long as you keep the place clean, move every couple of months they leave you alone.

We're going to set up camp for the fireworks again this year and if you want a place across from the show you should plan on arriving no later than 3 weeks early!

Last year we had Wash11 deliver a couple of loads of firewood and had a pretty good time with the SxS's. even found "The cabin" after looking around for a while.

2 people perished in a motor home fire a couple of days ago. North side of town. Not sure if they were squatters.
