I’m getting ready to make a route to do this. But I was wondering if someone has a route already? If not but you have done this, did you go through searchlight?

I got the map roughed out already. I should have it done in a few hours. I may need to alter it depending on fuel mileage for fuel stops. I’m pretty sure we will need to get gas twice. Once in bullhead and once in searchlight. From there we can make it all the way to Stateline well looks that way now until I actually measure the distance.

If people are serious. Let put a date out there that starts to work for everyone. I have a date in mind and would be cool do this in Nevada. Super Bowl weekend?

Yea it’s a bad ass fun route I’ve done from Ft. Mohave to Primm. To get here id run to Pilot then Sacramento wash to Topock. Then hop into the clay pits to the gas line. Gas line to El Rodeo, down to Safeway there’s a wash under 95 there, then fuel up there and it Smith’s. Then south side of Aztec to Avi bridge. Cross Avi bridge and follow it to the three way, make left towards golf course just past houses there’s a dirt road that vear’s to the right take that till you cross Needles hwy. cross Needles Hwy then make right there’s 3-4 trails that all run north into the trailhead for the Mohave trail. Once in that follow to the top of the mountain you CANNOT get lost as long as you keep working North-Northwest. You’ll run into to 163 as all the trails taper to two power line roads then it’s high speed to Searchlight. Just be sure to slow when you see all the east/west trails as most have gnar G-outs and kickers on them. Once you hit Searchlight you’ll go around the back of the town about 1-2 miles north of town is some west trails to take you all the way into Nipton-UPRR tracks there’s a few places spaced every few miles to cross the tracks then trails galore just know to keep heading West-Northwest. Depending when I’d love to take part in the second 3/4’s of the ride from Ft. Mohave out

Ft. Mohave= 55-60 miles from Havasu via dirt
Searchlight= 65-70 miles from Ft. Mohave
Stateline= 65-70 miles from searchlight

My 28g gets me one way as an idea as long as i don’t drive like an asshole.

I’ve done the Calico to Stateline, although this is about 2X farther. I would be in if it’s an overnighter. 200 miles in a SxS should be approx 7 hours. (4 hours if my wife is driving, lol)

I would suggest keeping the numbers of cars down, or splitting into smaller groups. Plan on a chase truck or 3! Large Groups + Long Distances can turn into a Cluster!

The ride has no sections you could t do even in a rhino. And no way in hell I’d suggest ever doing this run in a day. It’s a day there a day home and that’s if there’s no major difficulties.

prolly will be 10 cars or less and plan to stay overnight in primm, although not sure how that would work in a sxs in the parking lot?

Maybe I’ll call prim tomorrow and see if they have some preferred /secured /valet parking.... let them know we are planning a trip, super bowl weekend might also be kinda busy...

Maybe a car cover and a couple cable & pad locks????

Any one know how we can park sxs in primm overnight without shit getting jacked?

I think that is unpossible unless we hire a security guard :)

Group rides go there from time to time from Baker and Barstow. Security will give your group a roped off section, or they used to. Just bring in your loose items and valuables. Chase vehicles can block off theft too. Stretch them out.
I can bring my chase vehicle and flatbed and help out. If RD goes we'll need it.

As I am making the trail, do we want to stay in Nevada or go into CA, keep in mind we would need helmets to offroad in CA

No Helmets - Final Answer!

If we do helmets I’m going to have to buy a new one and then get the air blower for em

Quick question. I have a street legal Jeep, so I don't think about this stuff much. Never owned OHVs, but probably will soon. How do you guys with OHV only stuff cross the river? Just go for it? I understand the 90 degree thing in AZ, but the Bridges?

Yep sxs can be legal for street use in Az so we can cross bridges and roads

Except the other side... Is that the "go for it" part? Just curious as I may want to go across the other way. We're at Havasu Landing, so I have to cross somewhere if I want o play in AZ. I can get to Primm without crossing, but again just curious. Sorry for the hijack.

I've stayed in Primm multiple times via SXS. When we stay at Whiskey Pete's we park them in the top of the parking structure and cable them to the fence. At Buffalo Bills we take care of the valet guys and they rope off a section up front for us and keep an eye on them all night.

One word of advise if your route takes you through Laughlin be very careful the Police there hate SXSs and will give you a hard time.

That's great info . A fresh one in the cup holder sounds like it would be frowned upon !

Yea I had a feeling that might happen so we’re gonna go through avi instead

Do you ever worry about your accessories getting stolen like a light bar or gps?

So I finished my first phase of my map. Staying in AZ and NV the whole time. It’s Roughly 170 miles from Lowe’s in LHC to buffalo bills in primm nv all off road.

We would leave with a full tank from Lowe’s and re fuel in fort Mojave and again in searchlight.

In the 4-5 times i've done it we have never had a problem. The storage boxes on my RZR do lock so it keeps all the tools and spares safe and I pull the Ipad out of the car for the night and put it in the hotel room.

Trail is complete. I have multiple options we can take to get there and back. We can do a big loop from fort movhave to primm and back. Biggest distance between gas stop is less than 90 miles.

The total distance one way is around 170 miles or so. With two fuel stops.

6 hours of non stop riding or so.

Let’s pick a date so we can reserve rooms.

Also for a roll call

I was talking to a buddy he suggested we head out on Saturday morning on super bowl weekend and watch the game at a Casino /bar and then return on Monday (drive back to Havasu )

Although I’m open to what ever the group wants to do...
