Someone gave a guy Timmys number to tow a boat for him. The subject came up in conversation between dude and AJ and AJ said “make sure he has the proper insurance.” And who knows what else..

Moving forward job disappears because it’s sour now.

When Timmy was telling me the story even I was like “well do you have that kind of Indurance?”

I know Timmy has a tow truck and a tow biz.. I’m not sure why it never occurred to me that he would have the insurance to transport boats but I guess he does have it.

At this point though he wants AJ to call the guy back and explain all this shit to him, and I don’t think AJ ever did so Timmy is pissed about it.

moving forward. Though that job is up in smoke so it is what it is.. I think I’d move on and if that is some new market that he’d like to tap into, then there is far better ways than this thread..

Timmy used to pick up and drop off customer boats for AJ, he dropped mine off last year at my house.

I did some work at BARRETT on a sunday. Before walking out I asked AJ. What do I owe you. He asked me to do something for him and I owed nothing. He thanked me a day later for doing that for him.
A few days later AJ billed MY customer for the work I already paid him for. NOBODY ELSE INVOLVED. My friend customer told me about it and we together decided to let it go. So we did.

A few weeks later I AJ gets wind that im towing a mutual buddys boat cross country and He calls the man making statements Im not qualified and the job goes to the other transporter who on this forum just above I hear is giving him a FINDERS FEE. Yep screen shot it and saved it. WANNA SEE where a member above just said AJ Barrett of Barrett Custom Marine gets a FINDERS FEE for sending customers to a certain convicted BOAT THIEF? I think I stated that correctly. If im wrong Please disreguard this and note I did not use his name YET.

Being a stand up guy and knowing he over charged me for pulling the motor and removing one or two (not 3) wires. I asked him what I owed him. WE were like that with each other. Yeah a FRIEND would help a friend out. But not AJ. NOT after 10 years of doing business and me doing several jobs just prior for him for fee thinking he might reciprocate or trade it out. NOPE he went behind my back and billed the boat owner. I paid cash (which the boat owner gave me to pay him and for parts)
Is that better? I try. I'm a crappy business person and even worse secretary. But I dont fuck my friends and I am honest. I can live with that.

I had a business partner in San Diego that was blowing through that much a week on hookers and blow using our credit line along with a joint account he had with his wife, How it unraveled was when the wife went down to the bank and saw footage of a hooker pulling money out of the joint account via video with Mr X in the background doing her doggy style. He was wearing a very distinct flannel that she had washed hundreds of times. It's a long story but that is the jist.

I grew up a few miles from SD. I moved from there to Havasu because I wanted to live in a small town where people and businesses were held accountable.
Im holding AJ Barrett of Barrett Custom Marine accountable for his actions.
I would never mess with a mans income or business.
But AJ did exactly that to me. I have been in business longer and have more people relying on me to take care of them.
