We just had our place in the Springs treated. Parker Pest Control. Not tented, they just sprayed or used foam. 70 gallons in one spot and 140 gallons in the crawl space. 2 year limited warranty on the work.

I assume we brought the termites in with woodwork in the house because I doubt termites come from the ground out here.

I had mine done within the last year in Phoenix. There is not much to the treatment. They dig about 4 inches into the soil around the perimeter of the house, basically loosening the soil up, and then soaking the loose ditch with 50 gallons of solution. 2100 sqft home and garage area $1000.

I installed a paver driveway a few years ago, and after 2 years, I started to see a few 18” trails up the garage wall. I apparently broke through the original barrier, when I removed the concrete driveway. I caught it before it was a problem.

Company was Bill’s Pest and Termite. They might have someone that runs trough Havasu.
It also took care of my little black ant problem 🐜

The subterraneans had reached my rafters. Started eating the drywall paper leaving a few trails on the ceiling. When I first saw it I thought it looked like a dead/dry centipede until trying to remove it.

Do it myself every 3/4 years for $200. Just buy the same Termidor product on line.
LOL If you can pour water in a trench you can do it.

Yes desert termites are underground, not like in cali

If you have termites they need to drill the slab on both sides of the wall and shoot it below the slab. The above trenching thing is maintenance at best and wont solve an infestation.

You only drill if you don't have a post tension slab.

You know Lucky's a nice guy, but he missed a major infestation in a house we purchased and a couple weeks after closing they didn't want to do anything other than a small discount on treatment. After a couple years of Ace dicking around we switched to HPC and got rid of them. Come to find out the house had a long history of termites and could have been researched. We no longer own it.

There are a shitload of termites in Havasu, granted because of the heat and dry it's not like they will eat your house apart, but they are pretty much everywhere there from what i understand.

They live in the ground. All construction there is mandated to have a full treatment of the spil before slabs can be poured

That's interesting.

Down by the Springs, the ground is hard AF. We tried digging holes to plant palm trees, that was a pita. I don't know how they manage in that ground. I was expecting termites to only like soft dirt type soils like you'd find in a forest. Must be super termites.

Not a big deal in Arizona.
Somehow they got through the homes original barrier.

Mine probably would have lasted 30 years, but we broke up the soil around the garage to install pavers, and waited s few years to retreat. It doesn’t rain much in Arizona.

Welcome to the club. Whoever does the treatment, make sure they inspect the inside of the house.
