Looking at a storage unit in town. 14 x 45. What is the going rate these days? It has power and lights. Gated entrance along with water outside units. Community showers and bathrooms.

For monthly rent I'm assuming?
I pay for a 12' tall door x 14' Wide unit x 50' deep 240$ a month. Everything the same but the community showers and bathrooms. Hope this helps.
Great, thanks for the reply! Trying to gauge what to pay if I can find one.

I recently checked with the storage we used in the past and they were up to $300.00 a month for a 13x30 and had no units available.

That's cheap, how long have you been in this unit?

If you find one for rent under $300 a month take it.
In 2014 my monthly rental was 220 for a 12x45.
going rate to purchase in 14 was 1k a foot (45’ equaled 45k). Could sell my unit today for over 100k.

I think around a year and a half. But I agree, compared to what some other members have posted they are paying, I'm not going to give it up anytime soon.

We have a facility on the south side of town right off the 95. Has everything you said and our facility is 1 year old. Our prices are on our website but I'll list them here too. We are fully booked with a waiting list but this is just to give you an idea of what the rates are. I like to think we aren't overpriced but some may think otherwise. All the doors are 14' tall
35- $265
40- $300
45-$350
50- $400
90 pull thru- $675

I am paying $260 a month, 40', no power no lights. Havasu Superior Storage. I was on waiting list for 2 years. Not my first choice of spots, but it is a place to keep boat for the time being.

You guys don’t know how good you have it! Seriously

These type of storages hardly exist where I live. The only thing I have found even close, is in Deerfield Beach. A 15x40, with a 12’ door is $862 per month. The only problem is the 2 YEAR waiting list.

As some of you know, I am looking to build one of these facilities, but it has become extremely difficult to find the land. I have 3 commercial brokers looking. If and when I ever get the project going, I will need to get over $1000 per month foreach of my units, just to see any profit. My rates will be $1500 per month for a 14x50 as an example.

In 1998 I paid $60 per month for a 12x30 at River Island in Parker. I paid $50 per month for storage at Badenochs. I had 3 units at different times. Those were 10x30. I paid $175 per month in downtown Parker for a 14x40 in 2004//2005. I purchhased my toy condo in Phx in 2009 for 15k. It originally sold for 85k when built. I sold it for 115k when I moved to Florida. I truly benefited from the real estate collapse of 2008. I purchased many bank owned properties. The storage unit was one of them.

OK…… Resume the thread. Lol

I pay $250/mo for 50'. If I sell the boat, I will keep the storage because it is impossible to find.

Friends just gave up their 12’ x 50’ pull through the other day. They said they were paying $395 per month. I don’t remember the name, but it’s where Cheetah boats and Adrenaline are located.

my bet is yes it would be from what Im seeing above. I pay 1 year at a time so they knock a month off and im at $200 a month for a 14 x 40 with a 16 foot door. downsides are no gates, and the power and lights are on one of those wind up timer deals inside the door.

I'm in the process of hunting for storage now, so if anyone hears of anything available, any info would be appreciated. Preferably 45-50' but shorter would do for now. Don't need showers or anything. Just a safe place to store my junk :D
