Third thumbs-up for @LHC30. Ted spent the time needed to get our family up to speed with our needs.. Certainly recommend him to anyone as a option.

Who cares who is the cheapest, find someone who is knowledgeable, treats you right and takes care of you after the sale. Usually the cheapest means they got to the point they have nothing else to offer. I would rather have people I like earn my money, sounded like a good referral a couple of reply’s above.

Shop around. Sam's is usually my go to because of their inventory. I have bought from various shops out there though. Small town and the shops are close to each other. Makes it easy.

I have a larger place near my and a small tiny place across the street. I prefer the small place guy always treats me good usually has a part I need and decent prices. Have bought a parts kit and 2 lowers from him this past year.

Sent a friend there he asked about malfunction on his ar pistol this shop said let me look found problem fixed it there didn’t charge him but my buddy will be going back for next gun purchase and parts.

You need to have good customer service.

if solely on price you’ll never get a good repour w/ a shop… know your pricing and buy w/ knowledge ammo is all over the chart, inventory and access to ordering is also key.
If a shop sits on alot of inventory they probably won’t be able to order you what you want unless they place a big order and add it to their order….

a lot of games are played these days …

a lot of shops don’t place current inventory on the web site…

I bought 4 guns from a shop in Havasu In the last 10 years.
They acted like they were doing me a favor … every time.
I paid over MSRP on all of them .
I live in CA and have Vaca home in Havasu.
They we’re always low on ammo and over full price on every weapon.
Seemed they were always short on staff and we were always rushed.
Even took a CCW class there …
but …
now I buy everything in St. George.
Sportsmans Warehouse.
Tons on ammo and I set everything up via website.
I drive there twice a year and pick up everything.
Zero issues .
IMHO it’s worth the trip.

Which shop?

Here's my experience the last two months:

I've purchased from Southwest and Sam's. I like Southwest the best. Good inventory and staff. Did the CCW class there.

Sam's was fine but only bought there because they didn't have the gun anywhere else. Inventory was alright.

Bass Tackle Master was the best pricing and a ton of guns. But I wouldn't hesitate to call places and ask them to price match. Buying multiple guns at once doesn't hurt either.

Zeeman's staff is super nice. Wife likes the shop cat. Alright inventory. They offered to order anything I wanted and they gave me pricing on the stuff they could order.

Site Six was nice and new. Staff was cool. Alright inventory.

Havasu Guns staff had one nice guy and another whatever guy on the staff. Alright inventory.

Goliath has nice staff and good inventory but high prices.

Against all enemies had almost all of the there guns out at shows when we went in twice. So don't really have an opinion on that shop.

London Bridge Firearms had pretty good inventory and the I liked the dudes working the shop.

Disclaimer - These opinions were all based on 1-2 visits. I also had my wife with me so there could've been some cranky staff that perked up for our visits 😁

I have bought guns from just about everyone in town. I run guns has been good to me, as well as Ted over at Southwest Guns.

If you want to buy a lot of guns, Sam's Shooter Emporium is up for sale!

I went to I Run Guns last week and picked up these two, I really liked the guys working there, very helpful.

Thanks all, customer Service is our primary goal at Southwest. If we disappoint on that front please let someone at the store know or pm me here.

that said, stock has been wildly erratic on both the availability of quality items as have been prices. Demand, Covid caused shortages, raw material delays and now fuel surcharges are causing both the retailers and customers headaches.

make sure you check us out before making a purchase, we do work with RDPers.

Sounds to me that you bought 3 too many guns from there. I would have went elsewhere after the first experience.
We have a Cal Ranch here and I have bought my last 4 from them. Nice and knowledgeable. Even has layaway for guns. Of course I lost all of the new ones in the boating accident over the summer.

I have used Bass Tackle Master for years; it's been a while but if I remember right there was also a discount on transfers if you had a current CCW.

I use Ted as well for that. Not sure if there are cheaper rates out there but for me it is easier to just have a relationship in one place. They have been willing to help me even with range time for family members to get them up to speed faster and safer. That alone is worth EVERY penny. Plus you get to meet up with all the other RDP members when you go on in. Isn’t that right @dezrtracer ?

Russian? Since our administration banned the Russian imports, folks are thinking it has more value. I wouldn’t pay more than a good Serbian or chineese brand.

and thanks for the good words. We try to be the most helpful and have very competitive prices
