Looking for someone in Havasu for some backyard design ideas. We are looking for pool, pergola, turf area for the dog, etc. We have a pretty big backyard to work with. We kind of have an idea of what we are thinking but would love to get some ideas from someone that does this. Hopefully trying to get it right the first time. Thanks

Thanks Joel….Rykley might be interested. I know that he laid out our back when it was in consideration. If you’d like PM me your info and I will connect the two of you. 👍

I can't offer any help, but I'll give you some advice. I did turf in most of my backyard in Phoenix and man I wish I would have dropped a couple sprinklers on it for the summertime and the dog piss. I even used it in my dog run that was 5'w x 35'l. It holds up well just wished I had a sprinkler on a timer back there. Good luck!

X2 for sprinklers. When we did our back yard the designer had sprinklers and drains in the turf area. He was emphatic about it and said run them once a week to keep the dust down. For budget In the end, we kept the grass.

Rykiel for the win . He is doing a fantastic job helping to design our back patio extension . Hopefully meeting with a framer this week to get to the next step .

My best word of advice is to spend at least 75% of the budget on shade structures, and the other 25% on the pool.

For your dog, you might want a section of real grass sod, and just expect to replace it when it goes bad. If it’s setup right ahead of time, and gets the proper amount of shade, it looks great, and easy to oversees in the winter.
