Thanks Wes.:thumbsup

I also got a call from the CG Auxiliary about the complaint and this thread. Apparently before they received the official complaint. They were wondering if I knew the contact info for the complainant, which of course, I didn't.

Glad it was followed through on and is being handled.

For something like that I would've gotten a hold of the member via e-mail, for future reference.

Thanks again Alan for providing the contact to file the complaint and all your VERY informative info. Really appreciate it. They are definitely taking this Aux members actions seriously. I will keep you all posted when I hear back from the Aux Captain.

Lakes I am happy they are moving on this. Very happy.
But now they have two problems.
They know J.Ramirez is the problem person.
Both J. Ramirez's claim they were not there.
If it was J.Ramirez, then one of them is lying, and not only did he lie, he didn't sign in their duty roster for the day.
And this is all before he stepped out of line and into your face.
I suspect that the Captain is going to have someones head on a stick before this is over. Failure to follow procedure, lying to a supervisor, conduct unbecoming a CGA representative...
The guy is going to be shown the door, in all likelihood.
And he should be.
These are the kind of people that we want weeded out...of law enforcement in general and in any position where authority is exercised over the public.
This individual probably had plans to enter the CG, or go into LE, where he would have been a detriment to everything guys like Alan, (and I and others on here) bust our asses to do right.
No one wants to eject these clowns as bad as we do.
No one.
I want to thank you for taking the time necessary to follow through on the complaint, and see to it this gets handled.
I appreciate it.

Thanks Jeff. I could not agree more and hopefully this will help others from having to deal with J. Ramirez or him getting into a position of higher authority. One of them is lying so I think the large tattoo on his fore arm will probably put the correct one in the spotlight.

Hi LakeMeadLavey,

I know some of the Auxiliarist that do VE's. You said he had a tatoo on his forearm, can you give more description. I remember it saying this happened at Pyramid Lake. Are we taking Pyramid Lake in So. Cal? There's an awesome Pyramid Lake on the California/Neveda border above Reno. It makes the one down south look like a pond.

Anyway, I know a few people in the Aux. Maybe I can help.

I'm a newbie, love salt and fresh. Just got back from Catalina, escaped some of the heat in the valley.

Let me know any info. I have my contacts....

Serena:

He has referenced LASO (Los Angeles Sherrif's Office) so it's Los Angeles County. Make sure you warn him. ;)

Thanks for that. My contacts with the Aux don't know any J. Ramirez. Or for that matter any Ramirez. I thought the Aux was made up of old white guys. I try to get up to Pyramid in the off season when the kids are back in school... less crazy. I wouldn't be surprised if "they" didn't have a camera at the launch ramp. Actually, it would probably end up with some funny video. But I'm sick of regulations, regulations people looking over our shoulder all the time. Do you agree?

We were once hasseled by CGA becuse one of them caught a glimpse of what he thought was a weapon, so he stopped us and called for the LE, they approched like we were felons, out to ruin the day, but they were ready to apologize after they realized my brother in law did indeed have a weapon, and he never travels anywhere without It .... Ya he's LASD and my sister Probation Officer .... it was funny :D:D

Kinda creepy to know law enforcement lurks here. :D

Kinda like the GM techs that post on the dieselplace.com reading about all the shit we do to void our warranties. lol

If someone wants to file a valid complaint and is serious about it, THEY need to make the contact. I'll give them the info they need and/or direct them to the right people.

We'll do whatever follow up or investigation is required, but it's not up to US to chase them down and get THEIR complaint.

The CGA read this thread and asked me if I knew the guy who started it. That was all. If we started an investigation on every anti-cop thread on the internet (valid or not), we wouldn't have time to do anything else.

Because we know that what people put on the 'net is absolute truth, don't we. :bash:

I was there that weekend. At least I think I was there. Are we talking about the Lake Pyramid in LA County or the one up north in Neveda/California, I believe in Washoe County? I'm new to RD. I've been try to learn more about boating. I remember seeing these guys but I want to make sure that we're talking about the same place. Thanks

Sniff sniff....
I smell something kinda funny about Serena. It stinks. First and only posts have to be about this topic. New to RD, wants to learn more about boating, but has contacts in LE and or GC/CGA? Sounds like the offender is infiltrating the inmates. :bash:

Excuse me. First of all I am a woman. Yes, I do know some CG auxiliarist that do safety checks in northern california. I'm new to this site, I saw the the subject in the list and it interested me. I've been a guest through the years on other people's boats and now I have the opportunity to buy a boat since I just retired from DWR/Delta area:p. I thought that it would be good to get to know people that know boats. I would like to get something that I could easily tow with my jeep. Don't want to big and complicated but I don't want some piece of junk. Anyway enough about the CGA, the ones I know are nice but I think the tendency for people is to get power hungry. I'll leave this thread if not wanted.

Serena, I'm still not buying it. That's just my position. I could be so very very wrong. Please, stick around, it's not my place to tell you what you can or can't post. Just kinda struck me as odd. Carry on, and I hope you feel as welcome as I do being a rookie here. Good people and all.
One great little movie quote...
