Stacy has a week long trip to New York planned with her friends in the near future.. They all decided to cancel it and are now battling for refunds on certain things..

other than that hasn’t affected me yet..
How has it affected your household?

Are you doing anything to prepare? Stocking up on food / supplies etc?

Nope. I am planning a Vegas trip, and probably a trip to Washington state shortly after.

I am hoping flights come down in price because of the hysteria.

Nope and don’t understand why people are loading up on bottled water etc last time I checked I didn’t see anything about the coronavirus having any effect on the water supply. Friend canceled a trip and got a note from his doctor which sounds like may help in getting a refund may be something to check with your doc on.

Nope. I'm leaving in the morning for a 3 day conference in Kansas City...from what I'm seeing, it doesn't look like it's hurt attendance one bit.

Yes we were supposed to leave for Atlanta yesterday. My wife's company has meetings once a year 600 plus employees. They canceled Friday afternoon. All flights and rooms were booked.

Have a 3 week family trip to Hawaii planned in July... tons of travel between HI and Japan for locals so I am keeping an eye on it.. at worst we will go but stick to beaches and exploring the island by oursleves and stay away from high tourist areas, but kind of hard doing that on 2 islands.

All sorts of business trip cancellations both domestic and international.

Industry conference cancelled.

Board meeting moved to telephonic as opposed to in person.

Wife’s spring girl’s trip/cruise cancelled.

On the plus side, charter work is through the roof. People are paying up to fly private.

Hasn’t affected anything day to day. But we are supposed to travel through LAX next week to Maui for a vacation. I’d be lying if I didn’t say I am a little worried, and considering making the wife and kids wear a mask in the airport and plane just to play it safe.

on the flip side, I hope lots of people are cancelling so I can get us some complimentary upgrades lol

My son cancelled his trip to South Korea that he booked back in December to visit friends. His trip was planned for the last week in Feb. that had layovers in China. Turned out to be a good choice since they have since cancelled flights from South Korea. I keep telling our kids life is all about making good choices...

We have several trips planned to Havasu this summer. Were cancelling all trips thru the channel since we believe Corona's flow rampant there...

It has affected our house in a few ways. Went to Costco the other day for toilet paper and water. Nope - WTF All sold out . Haven’t booked anything yet, but we are planning a trip to Europe this summer but with this hovering around we might be having a Staycation this year, lol.

It’s funny to see how the Media works up people into frenzies. In the USA over 12,000 people die of flu related illness every year on average. Covid 19 is a strain of flu but everyone acts like it the next Black Plague. Stupid Humans, lol.

Hasn’t affected us. I did put some money in the stock market last week and probably will again this week depending on what happens. We aren’t stocking up on things but I told my wife let’s not run out or low on anything either. Never hurts to have an extra case of water on hand and a few steaks in the freezer. It’s actually fairly concerning that they had one case in Seattle and now several cases and 9 deaths only a few days later. We aren’t going to panic but we are definitely watching it. I’m not going to travel or go to any big public gathering places unless I absolutely have to.

We're stocked about a month or two deep at any time...including toilet paper. We don't have any health conditions that would be effected directly effected or worsened by the virus, that would make a difference to me because of kids. I think the wife and kids are going to SeaWorld next week. I just may make sure her ride has more supplies than normal.

Here's a little oddity this year. For the past two months, maybe longer, we have had a nasty flu running out our way. ER has been full of kids and elderly running high fevers. They have been told not to come in unless fever stays over 104. Wife got her ass kicked by it. She doesn't normally get that sick. So, makes me wonder if we have already had something like this stateside.

Nope...still doing what we do! I find it funny how the same people that claim the media is full of shit are actually buying into the media frenzy on coronavirus.

Stocked up on essentials before the crazies got in and wiped out the shelves. The virus isn’t the problem, it’s everyone’s panic, and I plan for that. Other than that, still planning on Vegas in July.

I’m not allowed to say, I got the hammer dropped on me the other day by the wife for leaking info.🤬

So for all the poking fun you do about “other people’s wives” checking in on what they post here, it is actually YORE wife that checks in on what you post here.

That figures.

From a personal side, no, nothing is changing. I have a tendency to be antisocial so this just justifies my position. The only change in my overall household is that my wife travels for work extensively. Her company last week implemented a no travel policy and is fully buying into the crazy. That said it is an international company with a presence in Asia. The up side is she will be home more. the down side is that she was just short of 1k with united last year and this year will be lucky to make Silver. That messes with our travel...…….
As a household I am stocking up a little on things like hand sanitizer and such. As stated earlier not hording, just not being low on stuff.

You guys know they sell toilet paper and water at like a million other stores right? This isn’t the USSR. It’s not a crisis because you aren’t willing to spend more than you would at Costco on your ass wipe.

SHHH, don't tell them!
I'm currently loading my stacker with "Luxury Brand" toilet paper. Going to make a Bandit run to OC. Stop in Havasu on the way back and buy me something nice for summer :p

Household no, work yes. In a good way though, since they were closed for a few weeks some steps normally outsourced to china have been routed thru us, possibly permantly.

I decided to put off my planned trip to Vegas. I'm avoiding crowded places, shopping late at night. Safeway is 24hrs. I'm more worried about regular cold and flu.

Wife and I took a friend to Las Vegas airport yesterday so we stopped at the Sam's right down the highway to get a couple little things we normally have here, String cheese, olive oil, just small BS stuff and were sitting at the hotdog stand, it was lunchtime you know, and couldn't believe the amount of bottled water in most every cart that went by us. The store had PALLETS of the stuff in the back isle. We actually overheard one lady say they needed more because she didn't know how long the virus was going to last when it hit them!!! GEEZ folks, get a grip and turn the TV off.

Started to buy more food that does not parish...so the type of food that we will eat anyway over time but if for some reason company's start to say work from home and you don't want to go out and eat retail we will cook more at home... As for traveling...still doing work trips but I would say in the next 60 days corporate america will start acting much differently towards mobility work, travel, telephony over in person ect....It makes sense if it continues to spread...

I am having corporations i work with cancel all vendor meeting/non essential travel. So that is fairly interesting being an outside sales rep.

What @CJ_Donahue said. Been a wild ride. Never know when i open the stock app if I’m gonna cheer or feel like throwing up.
Work has been busy with everyone in panic mode. Our annual meeting will most likely be cancelled. We’re in the middle of a West coast major city trip. I’ve never washed my hands so much. Other than that no change.

I am practically living at my office since rates are so low and every past client, friend and family member is refinancing right now.
