We are on "Symphony of the Sea" Jan 4-11 2021. Flying into Orlando on the Dec 31 and taking the kid to Disney world then driving to the cruise. Ending cruise with a night in Miami before flying home. Cant wait!! We booked cruise through Costco and got a great deal plus $400 cash card.

Never thought to look up Costco travel. That’s a great deal! That sounds like a fun trip! Pretty much knocked out most of the Florida travel checklist there!

Watched some cool videos on how they build those ships. The suites are prebuilt and modular they just stack em up like Lego's. Much more efficient

Me personally hate huge cruise ships. Yeah, you got every convenience of a downtown hot spot but holy fuk there's a shit ton of people in a constricted area. Like being cattle getting off ship at ports.
Last few cruises wife and I took have <200 passengers aboard and 90-100 staff. That's nearly 2:1 ratio. Makes you feel like a person not farm animals.

We cruised the allure of the seas. I believe they’re sister ships.
It was bad ass. There are balcony rooms that over look the center part of the ship. I think they referred to that part as Central Park or something like that. We stayed in an ocean view room but one couple we went with stayed in the inner balcony room.

My in laws are on either that ship or it’s sister ship as we speak. They do 3-4 cruises a year. Some people love it.

Harmony of the Seas and Symphony of the seas are sister ships. massive doesn't really grasp how big these things are. How cool would it have been to be involved in the design and concept or building these!?

Lol. In all seriousness. I didn’t even know he was going on the cruise. But, the deposit is refundable, so if something happens, he is still good.
I’ll end up in my mom’s room unless she has a boyfriend by then- It gets complicated!

Can’t really book a single occupancy room. They still charge you almost the same rate as two people!

I am well aware. You can 100% book any room you want, just have to pay the price. "Double occupancy" is just a marketing ploy anyway.

Incredible. It's truly amazing we can build things like this.

Never been on a cruise and have zero interest but it does look pretty amazing. Maybe I could handle it for one day. Have fun and be safe!!!!!!

My mom’s friend daughter is like diamond plus or something. She’s 11! We like to cruise with them- Grand Cayman has the tender boats. Well, the first two tenders go out earlier and are not as crowded. We got to wait in the diamond lounge, have drinks with them and took an elevator straight to the tender boat.

Have a great time! Is symphony out of Port Canaveral? I think that is the elevator bar in the picture? I wasn’t sure what they meant by it, but now seeing it, makes sense. It’s just crazy how cool it is.
